A couple of decades ago, I used to have a '68 Chevy 3/4 ton truck with 70k miles. Rust-free, straight and solid. It had a crappy stock 307 V8. That was a bad engine for Chevrolet, it burnt a quart of oil in 500 miles!

I replaced it with a fresh '67 327 with 2.02 intake valves. Solid lifters, doublehump heads, Carter 4bbl, and dome pistons. Aluminum Edelbrock Torker II intake. I had to have the starter rebuilt with more windings for the high compression. It was licensed, and had open headers, it was hot shit on the farm. At the time.

It was geared too low to go fast, but it got there very, very quickly. It had the snap/crackle/pop/rumpity rump idle. The other farmers thought I was weird. Some of the young ones saluted me, for hearing it start a 1/4 mile away, on a cold winter morning.

This was a daily driver for 11 years, not just a weekend fun thing.

An extraordinary weapon in the low 10s.  I have launched a 10 second car and it was more like space ship than a car.  I can’t imagine 9s.

From what I can see looks like it has a solid cage. Critical at those sorts of speeds. Very impressive.  Is he going to run a chute ?

indeed it is

no chute, or talk of such that I have heard...I shall not breech the subject for fear of "gayness"  (apologies in advance to our, non lame, gay members...this is Trump America...)

@nanobtc   fun stuff, my daily truck is...unconventional...

On the Bitcoinwisdom daily chart, it looks like a bullish MA crossover is in place - can anyone with any expertise confirm.

I am far from an expert, and it feels too early to be optimistic, but I will take any optimistic gloss anyone with the right tint on their spectacles can see.

I'm not an expert either, but the 200ma is still far from the 50ma.
A gold cross is a bullish signal in the frames of larger times.

Fair enough it was (I guess) hopium induced short term nonsense.   I guess I am looking for something that I know in my gut is not anywhere near here yet.

Thanks for responding.  Will set my MA / EMA to a longer frame.

'Golden cross' is typically taken as a very significant indicator of long-term trend and is daily 200/50 MA. We're still a long way from that.
On the 4h, a cross of the 200/50 is imminent, which is a bullish signal for the shorter term.
It's a lagging indicator, and I expect it would take another 2-4 months to see a golden cross even if the markets have turned around.

Here if you run a pass over 130mph you need a chute.  A 9.5 second pass should be around 140mph.  I don’t have enough power to come close to 130 mph so a moot point.  I can understand however how safety regulation  might be regarded as rampant socialist perversion.

@nanobtc sounds marvelous.

Pretty amusing when back in January some people here thought the $3k-4k moves up and down every 2-3 days was "just a correction" and completely sustainable, lol.

but not haha amusing. I kind of always knew what the shot was going to be, but my inner bull took over the chinashop. Some said that I was a dreamer. But was I really the only one?

I knew back in December when things went parabolic that we were in a bubble. It was surreal. Even my SO said something to me one morning like "yeah... it's looking more and more like another bubble" and she isn't even good at detecting such things.

The only question on our minds was how high would it go.

Here's the thing : the amount of deep pocket traders $$$ with their crazy leverage is STILL, even after nearly a decade, far outnumbering the amount of $$$ put in by the Average Joe bitcoiners. By far. I think it's going to take another decade or so before these type of swings smooth out.

Unless of course, ETFs come online, which means that Average Joe money will never be able to overtake the market. The whales will still maintain control of it. Maybe that's why the CMOE is suddenly more interested in ETFs?

It was surreal. But I was naive. I really thought on some level maybe we could sustain that. I just hated the idea of selling too much. Live and learn, I say.

That's the thing that sucks though. If you are a true believer that long term Bitcoin is a better form of money than fiat, then selling a huge amount just to profit from a bubble feels awful. Especially if you sold it to fund something that is not deflationary. You'll likely not rebuy that Bitcoin back or even reinvest your gains, which defeats the whole point. And you enable the whales to win again, the rich get richer.
