I was waiting for a decision, between bullish and bearish scenarios, since 6h PSAR was close to flip to bullish, and 12h PSAR close to flip to bearish.
With this bi-directional spike, both flipped, so no clue how this will unfold... Roll Eyes

Where do you think we are compared to 2015? Or do you see it unfolding differently than back then?

If this will play similar to 2015, then about 6 months from now weekly MACD should cross into positive.
But I suspect this bear market is of a higher order than the 2014 one, so I wouldn't count on a quick recovery.
weekly macd is positive now?
do you mean it has to go red again first over these 6 months?

No, weekly MACD (the signal) is deeply into negative now, but MACD divergence has crossed into green 5 weeks ago.
And the weekly MACD signal also made a bearish divergence with the April 2018 MACD low (both lower price and lower MACD).
What I mean is that the weekly MACD signal should cross into positive, in order to make the case for a bull market, but I don't see this happening soon.
In the meantime, I hope the 5200$ scenario becomes true, I am still long (bought just before the Feb 8th pump).

SCOOP - cboe/cfe is not adding new $xbt contracts for trade while it (re)assesses how it plans to continue to offer digital asset derivatives for trading . This is effective this effective March 2019. Last contract listed is xbtm19.
 Huh
no one trades there lols

https://markets.cboe.com/resources/product_update/2019/New-CFE-Products-Being-Added-in-March-2019-Update.pdf

CME futures have always been traded an order of magnitude more in volumes.
Bad news, but not dramatic.
Bad news for Gemini used as a venue for price fixing, this is particularly true as they wanted to use that same pricing for fixing price of an hypothetical ETF.

Please remember what I am used to say: “It is not Bitcoin that neeeds Wall Street, it is Wall Street that (desperately) needs Bitcoin”!

Chickens 'gang up' to kill intruder fox on French farm

If I were that farmer I'd be shaking in my boots.  Those chickens have tasted blood and he's next.

Been just lurking lately, pondering the 2015 fractal and crunching an analysis of it a little.  Well, that and getting on with RL.

Will go back to lurking a while, but still keeping tabs on this occasionally wonderful place.

Long live the WO, warts and all.

"The BitcoinTalk forum lost a third of its referrals from the bitcoin community in February, according to available traffic data from website analytics firm SimilarWeb."

There are multiple reasons.

1) The bear market. Basically, people lost interest in crypto.

2) The new merit system. Many of us got our legendary hero ranks before this new system and Many of us would still got so many merits and become legendaries in the new system too but newbies are very afraid of it. Most of them simply don't care about posting quality content anymore. Just spam and go.

3) No more good sig camps. And the requirements for the existing ones are very high so again, newcomers don't like it. All newb accounts are spamming ICO crap.

The major reason is the bear market probably.

Bitcoin lost more than half of its ATH value so losing only 1/3 of the forum members/activity is kinda success. Could have been worse.
4) centralization by moderators.
5) accusation
6) Porn, drugs .. etc
When did number 6 join the party, apparently I'm blind.
Looks like you have some people (micgoossens, lfc, Gayjuangee) in your ignore list.

Gonna be a long slog.

Apparently yesterday was highest volume on CME ever

Edit:  sweet mother of god confirmed.  Look at that volume candle.

I wonder if this massive candle had anything to do with the CBOE not issuing anymore contracts?

Good evening all.

I dont really have anything today other than what any neophyte level one wizard would be able to tell you at first glance. Traders seem content to continue at these levels. The next round of action seems to be coalescing towards the end of the month. #dyor

Mt. Gox's former head Mark Karpeles found guilty by Tokyo District Court. Sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison. More details to follow
https://twitter.com/ynakamura56/status/1106362801193279488

More details: The sentence is "suspended" (執行猶予) meaning he may not actually have to serve time in prison. Still waiting for full report from the court

Update: He was found guilty of tampering with financial records, but cleared of embezzlement charges. Still trying to clarify whether he will have to serve time. More to come.

The cost of a cup of coffee ☕️ in Venezuelan bolívars:

Aug. 2018:           25
Sept. 2018:          35
Oct. 2018:           70
Nov. 2018:        120
Dec. 2018:        400
Jan. 2019:      1,700
Feb. 2019:     2,000
Mar. 2019:    2,800

In 2006 a cup of coffee in a bar cost on average 81 cents and in 2015 already EUR 1.20.

You do not need hyperinflation for your money to lose value substantially.  Actually in this country in 2015 was even deflation. % just silently adds one on top of another and then BAM.

And double or more today Roll Eyes
