And bitcoincharts cryptocoincharts STILL pretends Huobi does not exist, even though is twice the size of OKCoin and three times the size of Bitstamp by daily volume. They should not publish charts that are so grossly wrong. Bitconwisdom gets Huobi's data with no problem, why can't Bitcoincharts cryptocoincharts? I have been told that some bitcoiners hate Huobi because they blame them for the December crash. Methinks they are to "blame" for the price not having fallen back to 17 US$ then... EDIT: site's name. Bitcoincharts still ignores Huobi AND OKCoin.

If you look at the comments he says that Bitcoin mining will use more electricity than the whole of Germany in a few years Let me guess , he based his deduction on the charts at blockchain .. that considered gpu mining.

If you look at the comments he says that Bitcoin mining will use more electricity than the whole of Germany in a few years Maybe it's time to spawn SunCoin. All SunCoin miners must be registered to ensure rigs run only on solar power. SunCoinLicense registration takes place, of course, in New York, USA. All mining transactions go toward burying cloned dinosaurs deep underground to replenish oil reserves.

Don't think we're out of the bear market yet, but at least for the next few days I can see us regaining a bit of ground. Bid/ask on stamp looks extremely good, when viewed over a 1 week histogram.
A quick look at the 10 day shows a that if we don't revisit sub 650 (640?) we may be primed for a trend reversal. If we do, however, the downtrend will have more more strength.

Ah, OK, so to be clear your problem with EVs is "power density" and not the "exploding battery" FUD you spewed? Today's Tesla goes half the miles of a gas car so you shouldn't need to wait much longer. As a bonus, Tesla just finished their cross-country supercharger network and you can now drive US. coast to coast for free.http://www.teslamotors.com/superchargerBut having to stop 100 times at 30 minutes a pop. You'll get across the country in a month.

Bitstamp is trading exactly at medium-term equilibrium, ~$667:
Equilibrium Price = square root (Cycle High / Cycle Low) * Cycle Low
666.716 = sqrt (1163 / 382.21) * 382.21

When the cost per vehicle is around 15K and Charging Stations are everywhere then it MAY be a viable alternative. What you guys aren't factoring in is the Taxes that will be added as more of us adopt electric car tech. Also the charging price will go up as gov't subsidies are reduced. Will ultimately cost the same or more as everyone pays now. You know it's true. Cross Country in 76 hours? That's not so fast. I went from California to Maryland in about 4 days in my Truck while pulling a loaded trailer and doing 65 mph MAX. (try THAT with yer little expensive go-cart)
