But one difference with Tether is that Tether is not a scam.

Thats why it isnt a cryptocurrency not being on a blockchain and should be just another digital currency by definition as I mentioned earlier to theymos post about it being a "shitcoin". Libra is surely a shitcoin. Libra cannot compete with BTC where BTC has a presence. Libra will push competition to BTC to gain traction where BTC still hasn't market share (might be via Layer2 or Layer3 solutions). In 10 years Libra will be worthless, as any present day shitcoins. In hte meanwhile, I see myself using Libra for very specific and non critical instances.

You should figure out exactly which these are and help Bitcoin make an impact there rather than use Libra and wait. LN can already be used pretty safely and easily (UIs on some of those are actually better than UIs on most Bitcoin wallets); I don't know what people in WO are waiting for, i.e. why they are talking about it like it will come in the future. LN will never have a "it's fully-ready" release date.

It's back, finally: Trollbox is back!https://medium.com/circle-trader/trollbox-is-back-a458e3ec58dfTime to rejoin Polo? P.S. It seems like Circle literally destroyed Polo. The 24-hour trading volume of the whole platform is only 2k BTC. It used to be above 10k BTC when Circle acquired it.

In 10 years Libra will be worthless, as any present day shitcoins.
Libra can't become worthless as long as it is backed by real assets. (like FIAT, securities, bonds, Real Estate, whatever) Libra can only become worthless if the companies who support it go bankrupt or decide to not support it no more. Can Libra lose its popularity? Sure thing. But it will has value as long as Zuck guarantees it. Do I trust Zuck? Fuck no. Would I buy or use any Libra? No again, but somebody surely will. It is like Tether, as long as Finex lives, tether will have value. Bitfinex being shit is irrelevant. >Finex lives? Yes. >Then tether will have value.

In hte meanwhile, I see myself using Libra for very specific and non critical instances. www.calibra.comEnforced KYC and insured against hacks. Thats the Libra website if someone is wondering. What do I need to get started? When Calibra is available, you will need a government-issued ID to sign up for an account. Identity verification is important to comply with laws and prevent fraud, so you know people are who they say they are. Is Calibra available in my country? What countries is Calibra available in? Our goal is to make Calibra available to everyone, anywhere in the world. We are working to bring Calibra to as many countries as possible, as soon as we can. LOL. This shitcoin is DOA. A payment method with the ''privacy'' of Facebook, customer-friendly policy of Paypal, Uber terms of employment with the interest rate from visa. With the announcement they will be partnering with visa and mastercard and facebook possibly merging with paypal in the distance future doesnt it sound like they are creating a dystopian future for the users of their platform and currency? Where they will only want them to use theirs and no one elses digital currency? This is where it is all steering towards. With the talk of their secondary token being considered as a security where they will giving interest on holding on these secondary tokens, they are essentially trying to create what to me looks like a type of banking system for this digital currency. https://www.coindesk.com/theres-a-second-token-a-breakdown-of-facebooks-blockchain-economyYou have to remember they hold alot of their users data and personal information if they did eventually merge with paypal then they will be more powerful then google. Even if they can see where you are using google maps and what time you have logged into your gmail account.

@kenzawak : Mr. no update on travel blog? Why?
Because sometimes I just stay at home. Anyway I'm in Atlanta today. Watching TV and hearing about Bitcoin's pump while eating a pizza (Boom Bust on RT America) Just spotted this ATM at a Chevron gas station (345 Pharr st. in Buckhead) Not much of an update sorry but it's not like Atlanta is THE city of Bitcoin. But it's definitely a city of good taste : And there are nice cars here :

Good morning BTCland.
Still over $9k I see... currently $9080USD/$12155CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
The battle for $9k rages on but $8k seems to be in the bag.
C'mon Bitcoin, head on up.
