What the hell happened to this dip/crash/panic/slide that everyone was predicting? I got fresh fiat waiting to pickup some cheap coins. Thinking about accumulating a long position in green beer.

heheh gotta love that. -> http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-17/global-death-cross-just-got-deathierBonus: All the Trumans – the economists, fund managers, traders, market pundits –know at some level that the environment in which they operate is not what it seems on the surface…. But the zeitgeist is so damn pleasant, the days so resplendent, the mood so euphoric, the returns so irresistible, that no one wants it to end. -> http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-17/rip-truman-show-bubble-finance-1987-2014

it's cuz Wall Street knows that if equity prices fall too much that the Fed will crank up the printing presses again. Stocks may be overpriced, but dollars are even more overpriced.

rapid loss of depth on both the bid and ask side from the bitstamp orderbook in the past hour.... what's going on traders finally moving orders that had been parked since the beginning of the painfully low volatility?

I don't see any meaningful changes regarding the order book walls. I see 6,000 bitcoins on each side of the order book (at least for the next $60 in each direction)..... pretty much unchanged from previous order book wall amounts
