(Bold) When?
Many times during Nov 2013 when I was using them for Litecoins via sending BTC over to my account there. Bitfinex also credited transactions super fast, after only 1 confirmation on many occasions for me. After the 'double spending' news hit, both these exchanges really started to drag their heels on transactions, keeping only a minimal amount of BTC in their 'hot wallets'. I waited 8 hours on a Bitfinex BTC transaction from exchange to my cold wallet to carryout as their 'hot wallet' was empty.

Don't really know what you're talking about, been trading at BTC-e since 2012 and BTC deposits always took 3 confirms for me to be credited.

Yeah... we may NOT see $400s again... looks like BTC could be revving up for a take off - just a matter about how long it is going to take before it begins to edge up on a more permanent basis... and maybe even float into the $750-$850 range. that would be bullish

Really. that pump was IMHO to manipulate the 4 Hour MACD so they can offload some more coins. I won't take any bets, but I dumped already, just waiting now.

idea - if I have 2 BTC on BFX, and buy 1 BTC on 1:1 leverage, that position would never need to be liquidated correct? that way I can ride the next wave to 10k with 1/3 x more BTC than I have now, and never risk that position liquidating? sounds good right?

that is not correct can you explain why? I would always have one extra bitcoin to support the one that I am borrowing? oh wait. I get it. cos I have to pay in USD if it crashes to zero, and all my coins are worth nothing. silly me

You entered a total return swap at, say, $100 BTCUSD. The return on the nominal bitcoin when BTC is at X$ is $(X-100). You own 2 BTC. If BTCUSD drops to $10, then you own $20 in capital. You owe $80 in returns on the nominal bitcoin. Your position is net $60 in the hole (and you also owe the interest on the swap). Actually, you would have been stopped out before that, while your position was still worth $13.

Today's a Special Day. ~> https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=178336.0" Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussionApril 16, 2013, 10:32:22 PM Wall ObserverA free service brought to you by the bitcoin community" Happy 1-Year anniversary, Oh Great Thread of my eternal amusement thru the endless cycles of watching charts move. I feel so excruciatingly dumb, so embarrassingly inept. I mean this is ultra-basic internet/computer use 101. You DON'T save a giant email or forum post content w/ tons of data, merely in clipboard. You keep saving it to HDD in notepad or w/e, every 5min. But I just did, & then forum had logged me out, & when I came to log back in I forgot I only had this WHOLE post text only in clipboard, hadn't hit preview, hadn't saved a draft..so I had better not CTRL+C some other sht, but indeed I did, then immediately realized it & wanted to break the keyboard on my witless head =/
Now it's all gone. Lol o.o Hours wasted. Not that anybody shld giv a fk 'cept for me, just thought I'd share ;9
