[...]If they make the mayonnaise with some other kind of oil, then it might be acceptable... perhaps avocado, coconut, butter, ghee or tallow..   I am not sure if olive oil is good since there are many fake ones, but my understanding is that olive oil is not bad as long as it is real olive oil and cold pressed... [...]...rather than olive oil which can be a bit ambiguous if it is good or bad. .and people use olive oil for cooking, yet it has such a low smoke point, so sometimes the benefits will be lost if it is burnt, which I think that oil can become anti-nutritious if it reaches (or exceeds) its smoke point or it is overly used (overly recycled).
I consider olive oil to be of very high nutritional value, as compared to other vegetable oils. I'm talking about the real, extra virgin, cold pressed variety. I'm fortunate enough to have distant relatives who produce small quantities of such high quality olive oil, not for profit, but for their own consumption, so I get a regular supply from them. I use it exclusively for everything in cooking, and never recycle it when used for frying (only use it once, and then throw it away). Recycling can be a problem in restaurants, where you cannot control it. What you mention about the smoke point is also important. I believe you should be able to find good quality olive oil in most places these days, but it can be quite expensive (I don't consider this a problem for a coiner though, hahaha).

First of all, if you know your source for your Olive oil, then that is truly going to put you in a better place than a lot of folks, and I am pretty sure that there are a lot of applications for olive oil that involve no cooking and/or heating up of the oil.  I had read some fat/oil related books and articles, and in 2012-ish when I was reading some of the comparative analysis of oils/fats (I specifically recall some portions of the Know Your Fats book), I was getting lost in that kind of discussion, even though I understand that there are differing nutrient profiles in regards to fat.

I just did a quickie google look-up of olive oil smoke point versus butter, and I see it is not as bad as I had recalled, so butter has around a 300° Farenheit smoking point, Olive oil is 350-410 and Ghee butter is 450°-ish.  For some reason I had thought that olive oil and butter had similar smoke points, so that little bit of information is good to know, and the topic also triggered me into googling other oil smoke points and also frequently seeing various vegetable oils popping up.. which folks get so distracted into using those.

I am still a bit worried about the source of olive oil if I were to buy it, if I am just getting it in the store, so perhaps there might be some brands that are more trustworthy than others in terms of the sourcing of the oil and that they are not lying to us.. since it can be tough to test and verify some kinds of things just by appearance so we have to trust that the manufacturers aren't lying.

The 15-min chart looks beautiful. A great start of the New Year...
yeah maybe we do bigly uppity  today

Hahahahahaha

I suppose the 15-minute chart is relatively a more long-term perspective than the 1, 3 or 5-minute chart, so Rome wasn't built in a day.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Among all the oil, olive oil is more preferable to me but the problem is that there are a lot of fake product. I could remember the experience I had about olive oil. I went to glory reign in 2023, a Christian dominational program organized by my church and in that program we were compelled to bring a bottle of olive oil to be blessed by our pastor so I went to a nearby shop and bought a bottle of olive oil but to my greatest surprise when I got home I found out that the olive oil was fuming and was more like a water than oil.
I think one of the major problem why have so many olive oil is because only few countries in the world produce olive plant which is the source of olive oil and because of this the demand of olive oil is very high compare to the production and because of this some gullible people use that medium to be producing fake product of olive oil.

we should have a very good idea of 200k 300k 400k or 45k

Holy fucking shit Philip.

You realize that the 200-WMA is $42.8k-ish and it is going up at about $30 to $40 per day?  It would be quite unusual for the BTC price to get even within 30% of the 200-WMA in times like these..

yeah, maybe you are considering that in 2021 we had a surprise more than 50% drop in the BTC price from $64.5k to $28.5k, and so you speculate that something similar could happen now?

Or maybe you are going by the March 2020 drop from $10k-ish to $3.8k?

Sounds like you are really going from fantasy-landia imagination...

yet maybe I could (perhaps?) give you a wee bit tiny amount of benefit of the doubt, since you did not mention $30k as some other out-of-touch fantasy-landia folks seem to be currently proclaiming to be within the cornz cards.

by this spring depending on his laws getting past in his first 100 days.

I liked your earlier theory better... pump until Trump inauguration and to keep out details and stop revising such theory... and sure, in the end who really knows, but still.. a general idea of pumping until Trump is sworn in and then dump seems fairly solid, even though we cannot really know how much pump or how much dump, or even whether such dump could end up happening way earlier.. but I still am not very inclined to give much weight that the so many sellers at or around $100k are going to get rewarded with BTC prices dropping to $85k or lower.. so I would really be surprised if what seems to be "weak hands" would end up getting rewarded for their fucking around with selling too many (if not all) of their BTC at or around $100k... Sure, irrational things do end up happening in the BTC market, yet I still have difficulties imagining the rewarding of what seems to have had been "weak-hands" who still may well not have had realized the dumbass retardedness of their ways in regards to selling too many cornz too soon... but yeah if it might start to seem that a lot of them have bought back in, then perhaps we could get a sub-$85k dump after they buy back in (which it is not easy to figure out when that might be or might have had been).

I am in ratios of btc/ cash/ mining
it allows me to handle

drop sideways or uppity.
I will not need to worry  I hope.

Remember Mindrust was cheering on for down BTC prices within hours right before he sold his whole stash?  Famous last words.

Hey, "pushups" dudes...here is something worth noticing
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/father-35-finishes-1-million-202644150.html
He already "made" btc to go to $1 mil soonish  Grin

I had not heard about that guy, previously.

Yep.. many of us in the pushups' thread are just getting towards 1 year of pushups, and the combination of all of us is still a bit below 700k pushups.  I was personally hoping to continue at right around my current pace until my number of my own pushups matches the BTC price, which seems to be a kind of back-handed way to cheer that the BTC price does not go up too fast... so I can catch up (or keep up).  hahahahaha

I might still want to continue to do pushups, and maybe this could end up leading to 7 years of continuing to do pushups, yet I couldn't imagine getting anywhere close to 1 million pushups, and maybe even on a personal level, I might want to go back to a reduction of daily pushups once I match the BTC price.. and hopefully even my matching the BTC price is not overly aspirational.

so about 305 a day for 9 years.
pretty good.

I will need more like 25 years to do a million
110 x 365 x 25 = 1,003,750

I would be 92 and 10 months old
what are the odds?
I am happy I have an 86 day or 87 day streak just under 3 months

Oh?  I was not sure if it had been 7 years or your reading of 9 years, but still a lot of daily pushups, either way.

It could be somewhat possible for an older guy to get to a million like you mentioned, but surely not easy, but not necessarily a bad or unrealistic activity, even though so many elderly do end up getting various ailments that no longer allow them to carry out certain kinds of physical activities that they had previously been able to do...and then priorities might change over time, too... so it may not necessarily be how an elderly person would like to spend his time, even though it might end up adding some longevity and perhaps vitality to the years that are remaining (perhaps? perhaps?).

Good to see Musk going after the cunt government of the UK and especially the heads of the snake.

I hope he is successful taking down the utter criminal twats.
Dude, instead of looking left verses right, you should look up.

Surely the world view of bitcoiners seems to be conflicting with views of likely actual inequalities and Bernies seeming speculation that governments should be putting rich people into check rather than their seeming to have fun at the expense of the rest of the population.. which I guess gets at your point about billionaires flying around and having fun in space trips while everyone else suffers.

Sometimes it can be difficult to imagine how bitcoin might be able to fix some of these matters in which many of us speculate that money unfairness contributes towards various kinds of misaligned incentives and unfairnesses that come from money going to people who don't deserve it, which may well be true in regards to a lot of the status quo billionaire incumbents that had been elected (or going to be appointed into positions) in which they are supposedly going to help us to fix some of the various systems by being more friendly to bitcoin (the Trojan horse, no?).

What would 2025 be without a wall of text from JJG.
I'm kidding of course, this is actually pretty concise for you. Tongue
I was trying to boil down my statements to their bare essences, just for you.
Much appreciated! Time is valuable. Smiley

I certainly eat red meat occasionally, which I said, and by occasionally I mean 1-2(max) times a week,
I interpret that as you likely erroneously believing that there is something wrong with eating red meat, whether you consider the matter to be diabetes related or for some other reason that you consider red meat to be bad or in need of limitations.
and yes that includes bacon, definitely not every morning though. There have been some studies that show it increasing fasting glucose levels, so I keep it limited but I get enough red meat to make me happy. Plus, the weird shit people inject animals with to mass-produce meat doesn't make me want to consume more of it. Eggs I've already mentioned, but there is nothing wrong with plant-based proteins.
For sure humans are pretty damned omnivorous, so we can actually absorb nutrients from a variety of foods, even less nutritionally dense foods and even some foods that cause us issues, which are included in some plants (legumes and inflammation) and defensive mechanisms in plant foods, and it may not be a big deal if we are eating a variety of vegetables, legumes.  ...

So I suppose that I am not completely against the idea of getting some nutrients from plants, yet plants are not really even needed in the diet.. so we can usually eat as many fats as we like, yet we don't really get any benefits after reaching a certain nutritional amount of protein, so if we overload on protein then our body is going convert that excess to sugar...especially if we are eating low fat protein, we might not get filled up.. since fat will give us a satiated feeling that we might not so easily get from protein.  limiting bacon seems unnecessary, and I doubt that you are getting failures of your blood sugar to drop because of your eating high fatty foods such as bacon.  There might be some other ingredients contributing to the glucose levels not dropping.  I do understand that bacon can have added sugar and added nitrates in the smoking process, so I may well agree that pork belly may well be more nutritious than bacon, even though there may well be more nutritious ways to smoke bacon without sugars or nitrates.
Too much red meat is a problem for me, imo too much of anything can be a bad thing, including bacon, there are reasons outside of sugar to not eat a ton of bacon. Must have balance, Daniel son. Grin

I definitely use REAL butter, specifically irish, fat I burn, sugar is generally the issue. 2 slices of wheat for lunch occasionally isn't going to kill me,
I am glad that you are not butterphobic, and surely about 10-14 years ago when I was first reading and looking into these matters, butter was still being demonized, and perhaps only the past 5-ish years has butter reclaimed some of its stature for nutrition (and it tends to taste good too).  Regarding bread. You don't need it, so why do you eat it?  You eat it because you like it and you are addicted to it.  It is not doing  you any favors nutrition-wise, especially if you already proclaim to have glucose issues (or perhaps insulin resistance issues that likely get worse the older you get - and speaking of get.. get some daily pushups in there too.. .hahahaha)
Are you asking me about my bread usage or answering for me? Tongue   Nutrition-wise, I agree I don't see much value with bread I've been using, it's more of a convenience for me since I'm usually moving and doing stuff and can carry a sandwich around and eat it. I'd see more value with a multigrain bread, which I've used in the past and did like, but tbh it's something we cut out of the budget so I just use what we have and limit it... the economy is going to shit, sometimes I just have to take what I can get!  Good news is kids love ramen, we buy in bulk.  Smiley

I did a quick google search and the recommendation is 250 Mg to 4,000 mg per day, and I suppose dangers of exceeding 5,000mg per day.  My supplements tend to be between 500mg to 2,000mg per day, so I usually am not making any adjustments, even though I suppose in theory if there were days that I were to eat a lot of fish, then I could over do it, yet I have my doubts, and I had never given too much consideration to making adjustments.. though I could that as being something that could pop up from time to time.

For example in the winter I tend to double my vitamin D3 so I take something like 50mcg twice a day, yet if I am getting a lot of sun, and if I am going out every day, then I will tend to discontinue taking those. I am not really a very BIG believer in supplements, even though I do take several.. so I spend quite a bit of money on them, even though I simultaneously question if they are doing much of anything for me in any materially meaningful and significant way.
If you are doing D3 you should combine it with K2 as I've heard it helps with absorption, I use one that has both. I wouldn't make any guarantees myself with any of the supplements I've mentioned, like philip said somewhere, everyone's body is different and may have different needs or goals.

None of that really sounds bad, even though there might be a bit more cardio than necessary in the mix, but surely the combination of stretching and various kinds of resistance exercises does not sound bad at all.  I just wonder why you are such a pushup hater, and even proclaiming that the only (or the preferred way) is to do them slow... yeah, sure there is more resistance and less cardio when done slow, yet at the same time, there are a lot of guys who are not even able to do 10-20 pushups in a stretch whether fast or slow, and to do 3 sets of 10-20 pushups in a day, may well end up causing them considerable pain and suffering (and they likely would be benefitted by getting their body up to being able to do something like 3 sets of 10-20 pushups without feelings of major strain upon them).
~
It's working for me, and imo those guys you mention in extreme pain should be doing them on their knees and progress up. I don't think I'm a pushup hater.. if that's what gets you off your couch, good for you. For me, they are boring and not a good use of my time given the other things I'm doing. If I were doing them, I would be doing them slow & controlled. Hey maybe if you start doing that, we'll get over 100K again and the jinx will be over! Cheesy   Back to reality.. you do what makes you happy.

~
And who the hell said anything about me eating beans?  That's another thing that doesn't agree with my stomach.
That might have had been one of my extrapolations since so many persons getting plant-based proteins seem to gravitate towards beans.
Well I might have beans maybe once a month, maybe I'm beanwashed now Tongue   They're not a big staple in my diet though, we have a bean & meat dish the family likes but I have to separate mine out since they use baked beans which is a bit high in sugar, other than that I try to avoid them. I don't mind the taste, but my stomach doesn't appreciate it.

For dairy, really just mozzarella cheese, I don't even put milk or cream in my coffee anymore.
People with dairy sensitivities frequently will get over them with raw dairy.. and by the way, butter is a dairy.  #justsaying.
Milk spikes my sugar much more than butter, of course I'm not using a ton of butter either, but had to reduce the milk.

Soda?... again I never said that and don't drink soda. I used to (years ago), and once in a blue moon if I'm out at a restaurant I might get a diet coke, but I'm all water these days w/ the added minerals I mentioned previously.
If you only drink soda once in a while, then there probably is no benefit in diet soda as compared with regular soda.

Frequently I will order a carbonated mineral water at a restaurant, so the carbonation can sometimes give a soda sensation, and of course no sugars and no additives... but sure soda once in a while o.k... and so many diet sodas have aspertame... or perhaps some other unknown sweetener substitutes.
Regular soda is loaded with sugar, my sugar level isn't really impacted by diet sodas from what I've measured, overall I just don't like the chemicals and shit that goes into any sodas so I try to avoid them entirely.

I will suggest that the sentiment of my earlier response is that sometimes just getting started doing pushups on a regular, consistent and persistent basis is better than allowing perfect be the enemy of the good.  Yeah, we can improve our technique at a later point down the road, yet if we had not been doing pushups for 10 years or more, we might need to first get our body to include them in our routine so our muscles get used to them.  Also some folks are at different ages and different levels of physical fitness, and for sure the older that we get, the more we need to be engaging in various kinds of resistance training to maintain and preserve whatever muscle mass that we have left... and it becomes more and more difficult to build muscle mass after we get older too... perhaps older than 40, yet still each decade of additional age is likely is more challenging to both maintain and preserve, and might even be near impossible to actually build at certain age points.
I've got more muscle in my 40's now so I guess I'm doing OK. You don't have to believe me but I am being open. Anyone wanting my opsec-violating sexy dad bod pic as proof, it wouldn't be worth the risk posting that. Just visualize this guy's attitude, combined with this guys body, loose skin included, then add slightly more definition, and much more hair! ...no need to thank me. Grin

OK I'm done talking about this now!!  Keep up your health and fitness goals gentlemen, whatever they may be, live to see $1M BTC Wink

This was great! As soon as I saw it I said to myself "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta gum", then I was like wait that's duke nukem! Can't recall how much I played doom but duke nukem I remember.. Rex Nebular was another one I got into, in my head I remember the graphics being as crisp as most modern games these days, but looking at the images now is completely different, crazy, but fun.

First, seventy-two.
Up seven, down eleven.
Finally, up eight.

What does it mean?

Beyond my abilities to even figuring out what is the referenced context.

Hint: "The Martian"

Is it Jasson Dominguez who was the MLB's #76 prospect drafted in 2019?

When the Yankees signed the then-16-years-old Dominguez for a franchise-record $5.1 million in July 2019, the victory laps started immediately.

Hmm, BTC as an open source project is 16 years old this January.  2025-2009 [1]
BTC to $5.1 million confirmed, either way.
