[coinbase asking for proof of funds]
~Snip~

thats messed up. you are literally one of the last people i would expect a proof of funds thing to happen to, as your accounts here and ebay seem to indicate a by-the-numbers type of guy.

when asked for income for the last decade or so i have always said "retired" and "investments" but like you say who knows what triggered it.

Be vary of sharing financial information, there has been a cluster of malpractice which originates from North-East India, especially West Bengal. I recently started trading on Indian derivatives, as soon as I registered and shared my documents I ve started receiving calls from "investment advisors" offering free calls etc. I know a guy from my neighborhood who runs a tech company (local), he too complained of employees leaking financial info and selling it on the dark webs and also a host of other scams and malpractices.

There's no laws that's protecting users privacy in India and that's the reason these companies sell the user data for shit load of money.

No fear. Just disappointment...

However, the same word has to be Bunch. The mind is hard and the head is cold.

Then free of despair.

Might just be me, but when BTC go through these dips its a lot less stressful than when btc is in price discovery in uppity. I try to measure my stack based on the 200 WMA and X% deviations, so it doesnt overly worry me when it dips, but the excitement of it going up I find quite stressful and feel the need to be like price watching all the time. When it dips I get to take a break and be like well when it returns to X level I will start watching it again.

I think maybe the cause for it, is that I stop measuring my stack by the 200WMA subconsciously in an uptrend and spot price becomes a stressor.

Its just something I recognized for the first time during this last month, and its not even the biggest dip/bounce I have been through but this behavioral pattern has been repeating since I got in.

Any words of wisdom from the OG's on how I should address this?

For some reason, it is similar for me. It's not like I measure things using the 200WMA, though. When she goes down, I shrug it off and know she'll come around eventually, so I stop calling her lest she thinks I'm a needy whiner. When she goes up, I try to figure out if, when, how much to sell. That requires a lot of energy and makes me weary. However, until today I haven't actually sold anything because I'm used to live semi-frugally, or to be more precise well within my means. One egg in my ramen feels like it's just right if I don't end up indulging too often - certainly not every day. A hot dog, oh boy, that's reserved for Christmas.

I still like it a lot more when she goes up though. Go figure.

Usually takes a few days to recover. No biggie.

EDIT: To be more precise: If the price hits the region of the gap.

On the topic of cheap dinners, another good addition to the rotation is plain pasta with soup powder sprinkles its way more satisfying than ramen with an egg and cheaper too! When ya get that one piece of pasta with extra sprinkles its like scooping out the last bit flavour dust from a bag of chips.

I think both of you are onto something, I definitely do more planning when we are in uppity. I do absolutely love uppity from a monetary perspective but maybe i should layoff all the extra dreaming/planning stuff in uppity to see if that keeps me a bit more sane.

Cheers all, now time to go back to being odd :-)

I think a lot of people are willing to buy. The problem is that nobody has cash still sitting around to do so. That will change as time goes on. I’m sure as we speak there are thousands of people moving assets around and trying to raise funds to buy the dip. GameStop has to be licking it’s chops with $5 billion in cash right now…

to expand a bit: for dips i basically have a set amount of discretionary funds already laddered dedicated to dips. when its gone thats about it unless i really think its a super duper price. so no real point in worrying or checking the price even.

uppity, on the other hand, has consequences like taxes etc that get in the way of too much automation.
