Another massive airdrop coming to Bitcoin holders? This has some real Hex vibes to it. I imagine it will sell off immediately and be used by hodlers to get a little extra free Bitcoin for their stack. It’s been a while since Bitcoiners have seen a dividend going out. Are we back in 2017?

https://x.com/altcoindaily/status/1949451706162385057

Exactly what I need.

Are they dropping existing coins or minting new ones ?

How would this work?

You just have to send them your bitcoins and they will give you double back  Grin Cheesy  Wink

I assume it will work similar to the Hex airdrop. You sign a message with your Bitcoin address and they will send your airdrop to an address on their chain that you specify. Then you can sell it for more Bitcoin.

Historically, forks and airdrops have given Bitcoiners an opportunity to get more Bitcoin, which has been extremely bullish for the price.

2017-2018 was really nice in that regard... could significantly increase my stash...

Let alts be the waves...

Nope, let's not.

Dude..."that" is kind of a curse word around here, if you did not notice it yet...wrong forum.

I am not well versed in the technical side of things, yet, I am sure there are some projects which holds promise.

Maybe I am wrong, enlighten me.

There is no technical side to it man. You just need to lose enough money on these "projects which holds promise" and poooof you'll understand....

I get it. Maybe all the interesting terms that start with 'smart' impressed me much. I am not invested in any alts personally, and yes, I ve seen this 'pooof' phenomena over the years. I shall no more speak of alts.

I have a topic I want to make about altcoins since some weeks ago or like 3 months ago but I have not made the topic yet. It was a life experience about what happened to me like 3, 4 years ago. The coin developers will use media including news to deceive people, you will invest in the coins but lose significantly.

There was one called Y Predict or so that I wasted my money on. The developers locked 50% of investors tokeo for a period of time all because they just want to scam. After I lost $7 from the $500 that I invested as I withdraw $250, my remaining $250 got to $23 before I was able to collect half of it again. What a huge loss.

Many of them are dumped almost immediately they started to trade.

About the top altcoins, they can also disappoint. Ethereum all time high in 2021 was $4891 but its price today is still less than $4000. It has not gotten to all time high. Polygon really disappointed people. Most of them like ADA and DOT are far from their all time high. Only few like Sol and BNB got to all time high but Sol is far below its all time high now which it got to few months ago with the Trump and Melania pump and dump tokens.

The meme coins and other coins let us know that altcoins are pumped and dumped in a way that they do not have limited supply. They do not have real investors but traders that will pump a coin today, another one is created tomorrow. They will dump the one created yesterday and pump the one created today and so on. Unlike bitcoin has has limited supply.

One last comment about the thing that should not be talked about.

The move from POW to POS for ETH was a dick move. Probably that explains why its stalling af. As a little study on cryptography and blockchain, you don't necessarily need any monetized tokens to do contracts. So that's about it I guess.

BTC on the other hand, I see as a new age parallel to reserve value, to top it off it is capped at 21M which will cut any chances of inflation.

But sadly, most people - majority of the middle aged adults relate BTC to silkroad or terror funding, which ofcourse is there. I hope the new adaptation by govt.s will make big changes towards it. Even though we poop on alts, the biggest scam of all is USDT in my opinion.
