Of the two people I gave trial sums of Bitcoin to, both lost their phones (even though I had told them specifically to make sure they backed up their wallets). One found their lost one again after a search. I also gifted some but having learned my lesson, I gave a paper wallet and kept a copy of the private key.

I can't believe that some people actually keep Bitcoin on cellular telephones. 

I also keep a backup of every private key I create to try to protect someone from themselves. Better to trust me than some random internet site or app.

Wallets are for losers.

For me, responsibility is not just a word. It is an unbendable trust and a sense of duty for me. From childhood, my parents raised me with love,care and sacrifice. Never backing down no matter how was  hard my life . The person i am today is because of their care and dedication. I believe that where their responsibility end mine truly begins. My father is now in 60year old. i will turn 31 on February 14th 2026. I have a sister whose marriage my parents have already arranged. They have fulfilled their duty now. it’s my turn to stand by them and bring peace and satisfaction to their lives. Parents are priceless treasures once lost, they can never be replaced. It's my thing.
In my personal life, I consider myself blessed. For the past 6 years, I have been with a girl who is not just my partner but someone who has shared every chapters of my journey. She knows everything about me, even about my bitcoin. She used to work but no longer does yet. The understanding between us is more strong . I have a stable job with a decent salary. I do not plan on selling my bitcoin anytime soon. Because i know how big it's future can be. I want to save it for my children future. For the wedding, my father has already saved enough, and I also have my own savings to contribute. The ceremony will happen smoothly without touching my bitcoin.
 
To me, this is not just about marriage. it’s about responsibility, dreams, and building a path for the future. Fulfill my duty to my parents, starting a new life with my partner. Laying a strong foundation for the next generation together, this makes it the most important decision of my life.

Every move up is preceded by a few ants dumping.

The way I look at Bitcoin, it's dropping most of the time. If I'd have accurate historic data I'd do the math, but if I'd have to take a guess, it feels like it's dropping 90% of the time. But when it goes up, it goes up much faster than it went down.

Meh, this was back around 10 years ago when there was some hope, for many of us, that Bitcoin would be a currency and the feat of simply transferring value between mobile devices utilizing a distributed peer-to-peer network was fairly exciting. The amounts were also only around $10 at the time which, well, obviously, that got a little more interesting over time.

My own suggestion would be not to overdo the ceremony but rather put the money toward establishing your lives together. Especially with the price of housing these days. That might be harder for some people than others but a flashy wedding is burning money to my mind.

if you bought the dip after the 39% drop, you would have had to wait for the price to fall another 28% before it started to rise. additionally, there was a price drop like this during those days:



it seems that back then, it was quite difficult to buy the “dip” in the true sense of the word. psychologically, even a 5% drop today panics almost everyone, so i can't imagine what would happen with an 80% drop in three days.
