Spring is coiled boys. The pressure keeping it down cannot sustain the effort. Next ATH we move violently upward. Think $140k falls quickly, and falls this month.
The market won’t go up just because you or i want it to. it always moves by its own rules. sometimes it even loses its direction. if i think the market will hit 140k+ this month, is that really possible? of course not. i don’t think it will reach 140k+ before another correction. and if it does, what will the dumpers do? it’s true that compared to past years, btc has pumped many times this year. the time will come when its price will skyrocket, maybe even reach 1m. but 140k this month is maybe not possible.

Going to dance around ATH for a few days. Then going to blast through. Empty air above $125k. Will push to $140k fast. Daddy Bitcoin is about to blow some people's minds again. Been a while. But the old whales are running out of juice, very little left to sell. The new whales are insatiable. And Trump is terrifying everyone who holds US debt, they need to hedge. Gold and BTC about to show why debt instruments are shit compared to bearer instruments. Buckle up. The world is changing more than it has since the 70's. New world order....not in a conspiracy type meaning, but just in a different world type meaning
Like the energy but 140k this month looks unlikely. Rallies that blast past an all time high in a straight line do happen, but they need clear liquidity, heavy spot buying or leverage squeeze. Historically Bitcoin makes sharp runs followed by fast corrections so even a run towards 125k may be met with profit taking and short term volatility. Macro factors such as US policy or debt concerns can drive demand for non custodial stores of value and that can make moves faster, but timing is unpredictable. Whales matter, of course, but so also do retail, exchanges and market makers who bring or take liquidity.

Donald Trump deserves the accolades, he is one president that has been very vocal about his stance and acceptance on Bitcoin, he is one president right from his campaign that has been on the front burner cheering People about the need to have a bitcoin, I doubt if I've seen a President with so much vigour and substance when it concerns bitcoin.

I am bored just cashed in 715 usd in wire. Don't know what to do with the rest of the day. The wire shed is too hot to work in.

Maybe I will head out to the beach as Belmar NJ is nice today.

You are pessimistic.  Angry Angry Angry
You are using 200 weeks moving average as a baseline so you can't tell me I'm pessimistic if corn went above 100K€ for a few minutes only.

 Grin

I think that we are talking apples and oranges, since my system of valuation would relate to figuring out if you have enough cornz for certain kinds of actions, such as engaging in price-based  and/or time-based sustainable withdrawal. and surely if you have other income sources, then you might be spending from those first.

You have already mentioned several times that you are contemplating selling to buy back cheaper, and I don't really plan like that in regards to my BTC holdings, even though frequently, I end up buying back cheaper, but those are not planned and/or hoped for, at least in the way that I am attempting to manage my BTC holdings.

I continue to presume that we are in a bull market, so I consider that the odds for up are greater than the odds for down, yet at some point I am likely to end up being wrong, again.

I can hardly imagine that our top is already in or that the top might end up being sub $150k, even though I am financially and psychologically prepared in case BTC prices end up playing out that way... I think that there are good odds of $180k plus, yet it seems a bit difficult to imagine with only 3.5 months left in the calendar year, and so far no bull runs have extended past the 4-year cycle, so far... yet I don't rule out matters merely based on their not having had happened previously.

It still seems apples and oranges to me, and I am going to continue to proclaim that you are overly bearish.. even though, sure, spot prices seem more difficult to project into the future as compared with the 200-WMA.  With the 200-WMA, it seems to ongoingly go up, yet it has been progressing upwardly at a fairly slow pace in recent times, yet the 200-WMA does not vary too much.  In the last 3 to 9 months it has been going up between about $30 to $55 per day, and yeah, I would like it to get close to going up $100 or more per day, yet BTC price moves our outside of our control.. even though surely the greater the BTC spot price moves up, then the greater that it is going to pull upwardly on the daily rate that the 200-WMA is going up.

What is crypto?

It does seem to be somewhat related to bitcoin, but still.. it seems problematic to be throwing around the term "crypto" as if it were to have much if any meaning.. .and on a personal level it causes me to think of shitcoins and grifter rather than bitcoin, even though we are talking about bitcoin in this thread..

so are you just trying to provoke with your repetition of such a non-sense term without putting such term into some kind of a meaningful context?

each carload is around 6 hours work which includes the car ride to the scrapper.

I am doing 3 a week so $1700 a week gross income.
not counting my labor the cost for that is about $400
tariffs raised the scrap price so I have to thank orange man bigly.
Phil - You'll like these custom made copper gas lanterns, made to the architect's specifications, with the huge gas lantern made from 6 gauge copper sheet (8lbs sqft) for use in a massive porte cochere.

I was wondering what was happening with all of those pennies.

Even though the various pro-bitcoin stances seem to be benefiting bitcoin HODLers, Trump seems a bit of a grifter on the topic, to the extent that he understands the difference between bitcoin and shitcoins, but also some of the lack of clarity may result in attacks on folks who are engaging in self-custody of their bitcoin and/or transacting directly without going through 3rd parties.. so aspects of the direction remain unclear, even though surely it feels better to feel like we have less hostility, even though maybe it still might be scary to report our bitcoin, since they might end up getting confiscated by our Uncle.

You may utilise ChatGPT to get summery of every page. You may finish very soon with this approach  Cheesy

Using ChatGPT or some other bot seems like cheating, yet using such tool might be better than nothing.

It would be like reading the Cliff notes version rather than the actual book, which actually might make more sense than the actual thread.

Maybe have ChatGBT summarize every 100 pages and then just go back and look at the source in the areas that are of interest to see that actual post(s).

Tools like ChatGPT comes in handy when one has to read 698603 replies. Of course such tools won't beat the actual information you got while reading all the replies.

One can also use ChatGPT to learn about the meaning of the Rusty Pipe Treatment:

Quote from: ChatGPT
Got it — here’s a clear explanation of **“Rusty Pipe Treatment” (RPT)** as it appears in the **Wall Observer (WO)** thread on Bitcointalk:

---

### What it is

* The **“Rusty Pipe Treatment”** is a **running joke / meme** in the WO thread.
* It was popularized by long-time poster **BobLawblaw** around 2021.
* The phrase is used as a tongue-in-cheek **threat of punishment** for bad posting, trolling, or general annoyance in the thread.

---

### How it’s used

* Typically, a poster says someone is *“about to receive the rusty pipe treatment.”*
* Sometimes others exaggerate it with add-ons like a **“special edition”** or combine it with other slapstick imagery (e.g. “bat-slapping and/or rusty pipe treatment”).
* It’s never literal — the WO community uses it to **mock, discipline, or roast** other posters in a humorous way.

---

### Tone & cultural role

* **Not violent in intent**: it’s part of the **over-the-top, bantering style** of WO.
* Acts as **tribal humor**: regulars recognize it as a light-hearted “punishment” that reinforces in-group norms.
* Over time, variations of the phrase emerged, showing it became a **shared meme** rather than just BobLawblaw’s line.

---

✅ **In short:** In the Bitcointalk Wall Observer thread, the **“Rusty Pipe Treatment”** is a jokey, exaggerated way of saying someone deserves a smackdown (verbally, not physically) for poor posting. It’s one of many playful, semi-menacing metaphors WO users throw around, giving the thread its unique, rowdy character.

---

EDIT: I had to train ChatGPT a couple of times in regard to rusty pipes and their origin, before it put out above answer, which is the most correct i could get from it so far.

Still, ChatGPT does not seem to find out anything about the detailed procedure of RPT. Maybe it's censorship to blame here?
But following the links ChatGPT provides after more deep searches of the exact term likely leads to an explanation, hopefully of graphic nature, if Bob didn't delete it back then.

EDIT2: And it's a shame that many of the great RPT-inspired images and memes hosted at imgur disappeared from this here thread  Angry
This certainly doesn't help unterstanding the meaning of rusty pipes.

EDIT3: Thought twice, i assume that the original term is even older, because Bob deleted some probably substantial posts about RPT, and from my personal feeling i came across the term/memes earlier than 2021. But you know, my nickname is program when it comes to exact memories, a lot of times.

EDIT4: I hope i'm done editing this post now  Roll Eyes

There's some liquidity at $114k, we may hit that zone. But there's even more to wipe out at $110/$109k.
CME Futures gap is at $117k, so we may dip into one or both of these zones, followed by a rise to the $117k area as of about Sept. 26th

OT:
I had to find out that my brand new, supercool reducer, which is reducing focal length of a telescope, allowing more light to be gathered (with more detail), doesn't fully fit into the focuser's tube  Angry
I am totally pissed off now, having planned the astrophoto session for this exact configuration, which went up in smoke an hour ago. Even if nobody here could relate to this, but it triggered a crushing feeling of emptiness inside me. I don't feel like i have the energy to adjust and use a different setup tonight, having put quite some effort in today's preparations already.
Seems like i finally have to switch to a better focuser that offers compatibility for extended length 2" optical equipment. I met the particular choice in the past already, but i haven't had a reason yet to pull the trigger on a new, more advanced focuser in the manufacturer's webshop.
However, there will be no new space-pics anytime soon  Embarrassed
