Sometimes I wish I could give negative merit to people, and after a certain number of negative merit, they are no longer able to post in this thread.
mute just isn't effective enough.
I was actually thinking a couple of times about that, but misuse (aka. cancel culture) would be hard to handle. My latest idea of a possible approach would be giving every WO a container for negative sMerit (-sMerit). For every 10 Merit one gets, he gets 1 -sMerit to use for negative meriting posts, as well as a negative Merit record (-Merit). There has to be some balancing, so if a WO gets 10 Merit, his negative record decreases by +1. Exisiting Merits should not be converted to new -sMerits. If a WO/user got more than 10 -Merit, as an example, he is no more able to post in the WO, thus needs to get 10 Merit in other places of bitcointalk, but risks to get postblocked from the WO again through a single -Merit, which would up the record to 10 -Merit again. Also, if a user reopens a new account to circumvent the posting block, he should be banned by reporting (to infofront). That wouldn't be optimal, in the case of more than one of such occasions per month, it would possibly already get annoying for our respected Mod. I think nobody really wants that. EDIT: -Merit usage and record display should be restricted to the WO. If this model (in its final form) proves itself as reliable and useful, it could be expanded to other threads/sections or the rest of the board.

Your too high income with your copper windfall, no wagyu for you! I wish my income was too high. My income and my wife’s income combined is way closer to 100k than 150k. Living in NJ we are very close to average income . in monmouth county average income per adult is 80k so we would need to be 160k to be average. we are under that. Not sure why but whenever I try to make a joke on the interwebs everyone thinks I'm being serious. Being facetious goes over so well in person but damn if it doesn't just fall flat on the webs. yeah internet humor is tough was not sure if you funny or not. also i do not earn enough so its not funny. if I had not done p2p and just did dca and hodl it would be funny to me. but having churned 1000 plus btc and only hodling 1 or so it is less amusing.

Trump announces American citizens will recieve a $2,000 tariff dividend. Last time it did some good well we are up a bit. frankly i could really use a jump in price for the mining. ⛏️ i sure that being able to crack the 130.1 proof jack would be nice. as to what was wrong with p2p i blame myself. ie if you spend btc buy more the same day. is the right way to use p2p. over the years i purchased far to much gear with btc that was earned mining and I did not buy replacement btc with cash . so 1000 btc in and say 999 btc out means I should have done a better job replacing btc. most of these errors were done when btc was cheap but thats life.

well we are up a bit.
I think that was Saylor's $800 million dollar buy... If so, this is probably the last pump we see above $100K. #dontshootthemessenger He really needs to rally the troops for some more buying. This pump did take us past the $104K resistance, which is bullish. It is absolutely critical for the market to hit $109K before $97K or else confirmation is in and we head straight to $78K....

EDIT: @El duderino_: Thanks I think Saylor completed the $800mm Bitcoin buy a number of days ago. Saylor regularly buys spot Bitcoin directly on the open market, then stores it at more than one exchange, with Coinbase I think securing the majority.

finally, it seems like we've made a little progress today. i hope today closes at these levels and moves us away from these interesting $100,000 levels. when the price spends a few days here, i feel like i'm running on the edge of a cliff. i want us to either fall or move away from here...
actually, all these daily, micro-movements don't really matter to me, they shouldn't. still, i enjoy following it every day. some people might think constantly checking long-term investments is harmful, but my desire to witness the process outweighs that.
no daily close under 100k, i think thats called rejection.

I want to buy this burger with Bitcoin at 2035. I don't want to be a second Laszlo by buying it now . X Everyone assumes Laszlo regrets the pizzas... He wrote the first GPU miner I think. I would bet he has more money still than most could fathom.
