No. Just think about that if you have a miserable life and chooses to llive long. It will not change a thing and it will just prolonged all your agony.

In the history of man, no man has ever lived forever. I believe eternity is God's decision, for him alone has the power.
If it does happen that this scientific test works on human, it would then require man to continually take the pills for sustainability which would still not make man live forever but for a longer period.
But if given the choice to live forever, i would go for it.

Would YOU choose to live forever?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

That's a double edged blade. There are pros and cons for both sides. Just imagine for a second what immortality would be like. Having all the time in the world to do absolutely everything you might dream of, yet you might become prone to loneliness and depression, because everyone you love will eventually die. On the other hand if you live life as it is, short and confusing, you might experience the same bad things because a loss is a loss and people leave one way or the other eventually, so if you can't live every moment to its fullest, you don't really have time for much.

Would YOU choose to live forever?

I think the problem of living forever is not what we want to be. Depends on your health. So I want to have a meaningful life that really does not need to live long. But at least the whole of life itself.

I would not want immortality, now that I'm older death is not as scary a thing as it used to be. Another thing is how sustainable would the world be with the excessive population. People would have to stop procreating at some point.

This is actually not exactly new. Nicotinamide has been available for a while and you CAN purchase NMN in various places. However, if you look at the amount they gave to the mice and apply that amount to a human - it's roughly equivalent to half your body weight of the compound. I'm not sure that a person could ingest enough of the substance to actually make a noticeable difference over time, but it won't hurt you. The biggest revelation would be the benefits (if any) for the brain. If telomeres can be repaired - perhaps this could be preventative medicine for Alzheimer's and other age related mental diseases. Of course we will find out for sure after several trials. Until then, just look up Nicotinamide Mononucleotide on the internet and you'll find it for sale if you want to try it out for yourself.

No way!! I will chose a path to end the living cycle. I believe that dying is not the final outcome and there should be another birth happens just after anyone dies.

Death is unnatural to humans. Humans were not created to die. They were meant to live forever. That's why everyone behaves strangely around death and that's why we are never sure what to say to the people who lost their loved ones.
If you make a servery, going and asking people on which day they'd want to die, time, day, month, year; everyone would tell you you are crazy! No one wishes to die (unless they are facing really unfortunate events), so, yes, given the chance, everyone would wish to live forever.
Living forever in a world of truth, filled with love, humility and respect, without crime, corruption, greed, sickness and death - now that would be awesome!
Is such a thing possible...?

I don't want live forever. If only I can live eternally, I would not choose this option. I love my life because of the people arround me, especially my lover. If I lost them, I would not support it.

Maybe I do not want to live forever because it will be very lonely, I just want to live healthy, happy and useful for society. Grin Grin Grin Grin
