Transaction still not confirmed

Ive sent a few bitcoins and other currencys before but I sent 0.14842958 bitcoins to my bittrex wallet on Saturday 10th and today 14th its still not confirmed, I mean it showed up as pending on bittrex within like 10mins... why is this taking so long? Does anyone else have this issue?

The network is very busy. And this is already happening for months.
The miners confirm the transactions based on how much they earn of them, so if you have set a too small fee your transaction will get confirmed late or even get rejected.
It's a common issue nowadays.

ah right, I think the fee was default as sent from cryptonator... was a smaller fee than bittrex use though, oh well at least it'll eventually confirm - how long can it take

I can't tell much info just out of the blue. Do you have a tx id you can share to check?
However, if it took already some 4 days, safer bet is closer to "never" than a fixed date.

If the tx is still visible (exists in the mempool) you can try to accelerate it.

Can you give us txid?
Well, if you are waiting for 4 days than fee is extremely low, try to accelerate it with this https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

you are using low fees ? or this is just common problem everyday over 100000 blockchain transaction hast not been confirmed i suggest just be patient and im sure your funds will be safe and also bittrex is trusted sites so theres no need to worry about it

Your transaction uses 14 satoshi/byte. That's extremely low. Current recommended fee is 292 satoshi/byte.
The lucky part is that your transaction seems to be still in the mempool.
Try to accelerate it with ViaBTC tx acelerator: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ and make sure you do it in the first second of the hour, since there are (too) many that try to accelerate their transactions for free.

Wonderful! Yes, it's a good sign.
It usually means that ViaBTC pool will confirm your transaction in the next few blocks (usually the very next one).

If you take a look now, there are even better news: ViaBTC has mined a block 3 blocks ago, it included your tx, so you already have 3 confirmations.
Case closed And try to use/force bigger fees next time.

I didn't really even know about fees, I've mostly been sending altcoins and they've always confirmed within the hour or less... but yes next time a higher fee, wonder why cryptonator defaults the fee to a tiny amount

Well, a few years ago this was an acceptable fee. Most probably they didn't changed the fee system in the last months. Try to use another wallet, I am personally recomanding localbitcoins, always send fast and I am trusting them.
