Please let me know if there is need for a community pool. I can build a MPOS pool within 24 hours, but will need to know if there is a big demand, or if the community is willing to share in the costs for the hosting. We can add it to OP and advertise in other places website and forum as well Ok, I will start with a simple server, and if there ain't enough support I will end the pool in about a month. If high demand remains, we will have a community pool soon. Dev, please PM in case you want you have to listed with a deeponion.org subdomain (e.g. just point pool.deeponion.org to my servers IP). Does this coin make the Tor network faster? yes its interesting question for me too. Would be cool to know that our staking wallets helps to TOR network. but we not exit nodes for TOR. |

My 2 cents about TOR (The Onion Router) and how it relates to DeepOnion.
DeepOnion wallet doesn't help TOR or the entire TOR Network.
DeepOnion utilizes TOR Network for anonymity by hiding the user's IP in the Internet.
What creates circuit and help the TOR network are TOR nodes.
Now what DeepOnion wallet does by staking is help run the DeepOnion network which is run through the TOR network.
The traffic DeepOnion wallet is generating in the TOR network is helpful for the TOR Network in my opinion! 1. there will be extra connections made and traffic generated within the TOR network 2. Due to this extra traffic other traffic is more difficult to follow 3. More IP's get hit by the exit nodes, making all TOR traffic more difficult to follow for CIA/FSB etc. It does not help in these situations: - DeepOnion makes no exit nodes, this is safe for deeponion users, but less good for TOR network - You can always start a TOR exit node yourself at your Internet connection to help the TOR network. |

The anonymity of the TOR network is based, in part, on the number of people connected to it that are set up as nodes. The DeepONION client acts, in a similar fashion to the TOR Browser, as a node. The more nodes there are, the more traffic can be routed thru them. The more nodes that the TOR network has to utilize then the harder it is to discover a user based off of traffic analysis.
That has been my internal explanation for how DeepONION benefits TOR, you are incentivized to keep the wallet open and staking, and while that goes on a node is created, so the TOR network is more secure the more people use DeepONION.
IANADev, so please feel free to fill in anything I failed to cover or misunderstood myself.

OK - I think I'm chatting with you in the DO forum, this would be a good way to troubleshoot if its your PC setup, or your network.
Do you have a second PC that you could test the wallet on? If it works on it, then we know its the PC. If it doesn't, then its 100% network related. Also, did you try what I suggested earlier? Direct connection to modem with the firewall disabled?
I answered directly in DeepOnion forum those question about direct connection (not possible, no entry for direct connection on the rooter).
AS per another computer, I tried another one.... and after a few hours, also NOT getting connections.... but I also did not test some other
things as the firewall on this case (in case, the app would not have been added to be authorized)
As for disabling the firewall, it did not help either.... ;-(
I will answer further in the Deeponion support forum, as I see that you answered me further
thanks a lot!
The issue is kind of tough even the above nice suggestion cannot address it. If I were in your shoes, I would test the wallet on a brand new computer in different network environment, such as a coffee shop, library to avoid the probable router and firewall issues happened at your home. |

It's growing because of the demand and limited supply. The volume continues to stay pretty steady, although a little low today relatively speaking. Can't wait to see what happens when we hit the larger exchanges. |

Its growing fast for several reasons, 1) its not a coin where millions are produced and sent out at once, like with standard ICO, this means there is a small trickle entering the market each month, with a higher demand for the coin that can be supplied. Thus price increases. 2) This coin aims to be a truly secure and safe coin, the same way other coins such as Dash and Monero aim to be, check out there prices and you will see where this coin is heading. 3) the dev team are active and working hard to improve the coins features 4) it has a large backing behind it |
