Try unlocking your wallet thru console commands. I've had this happen with other wallets.

Use this command

This is progress.A web wallet is nice to have but i will wait and request for deeponion developers approval of this wallet before creating an account.I am not saying there's anything wrong/suspicious just that i am a bit paranoid and also the desktop wallet doesn't take much time to sync with the network so no need to switch to web wallet for now

According to the offical forum thread, wallet v 1.2 fixes minor things and is not a mandatory update.

2100 members on official forum is great, but number of ACTIVE members, meaning participants in airdrops, is still 254.
I don't care about the price, it will go up sooner or later. But why is volume so low on Novaexchange?? I think you should distribute ONIONs to more people. Maybe you could start accepting more people to airdrop, this would be healthy for the project. The price is not falling because of the dumping, but because the coins are not distributed widely enough and that's why people think DeepOnion is closed project, reserved just for few lucky people.

It basically your hashing power based on your block balance. And, network weight is basically net hashrate of the whole network.

Simplest way to explain it, basically same competitive process as if you were mining it with miners.

There is no staking ATM - possible it will be introduced in some time.

This will be good choice staking like pool for people with small amount coins. But i dont know if this is possible if you want make a private keys, but both options will be nice.

Just a thought, as I have seen the function in other wallet clients (but I think the majority like compiling their own) that an auto-update feature might eventually be nice to have, or perhaps just a notification in the client when a new version is available .

Well to be honest I agree with your sentiment but there has been many fake accounts which took advantage of the airdrop, this being one of the most popular campaigns to be part of and also one that pays a large sum in USD. It goes without question that people were buying farmed accounts to have access to onions, this in effect deprive many true supporters of the onion project. In weeks to come you should see this number grow organically, it was imperative that the screws had to be tightened with added security and a more stringent application process.

I'm sure if the scenario was in reverse we would have still have the same problem in people questioning why is that 1 or many people had so many accounts and why nobody picked up on this and brought it under control.

Hello here is my own story

I discovered Deep Onion from reading some posts at the local french sub-forum @bitcointalk, it's a definitive place to get some hot news from the rapidly growing community of crypto users.

I was first interested in the anonymity qualities of this new crypto as I know TOR from a long date, and also with the aidrop policy involved in the launching of this coin, a really generous offer and a smart way of getting that coin known and used.

I have the feeling that this coin is pretty young as it's not yet traded a lot of exchanges, only nova as far as I know. I hope it will soon be available at other exchanges , to gain some visibility as well as some liquidity for the people that want to trade this great promising coin.

I'm really impressed by the way the devs wanted to grab attention and interest by giving away lots of onions and having bitcoin talk user get involved in an organized positive 'hype'. This move is clearly well thought, with benefits for both parts , devs & users, a win-win scenario

I wish I knew the coin from the early beginning and I'm far from being too late to this adventure, I hope we'll see the rising of this coin in a tough & competitive crypto world.

Too bad my kids do not have an account on BTC, by the time they'll be fully grown up they could start their lives with a full onion portfolio, but who knows ?
