Next airdrop is getting closer and I would lie if I said I wasn’t excited But also I am a bit worried as this will be the first one since the signatures were updated and I hope everything will be fine. Especially as there obviously is a bug in the link to Nova which leads to an error page. I saw this was mentioned here before however I could not figure out if there was any fix provided by now. Does someone know more on this?

Hi there. Why do you need NovaExchange for a wallet?
You can download our official wallet here https://deeponion.org/index.php#download
or you can have a paperwallet from here http://178.238.232.141:8080/paperwallet/
I recommend the two above.
But there is also a web wallet here http://www.onionwallet.ch/
So it's up to you. Just don't use the wallet from NovaExchange for applying for airdrops.

They posted this on their Facebook page about a week ago, apparently they are still being DDOSed and they blocked the IPs where the attacks where coming from but it seems that the "range" was too big and it's blocking also other IPs who had nothing to do with the attacks, like myself for example I can access the site from my house but from my mom's house I cannot, and this is in the same city, very weird. Hopefully they will sort this out soon, although it is some kind of bad news tho because this shouldn't be too difficult to fix and it's taking ages, I'm guessing that the security isn't a strong point on this exchange, I honestly wouldn't store many coins there.

Hey thanks for your reply. But I dont't think the problem is because of the IP ban as I can enter Nova's hp without problems when I go there directly. It's only the link in the signature wich is not working here. And it also looks like the link does not lead directly to Nova but to some page on the DO website.

It's really very unfortunate that people would DDOS an exchange, there can't be enough profit in it to make it worthwhile for them.  I am on the US east coast myself and haven't had trouble logging in to Nova, and *knock on wood* hopefully will not have any.

I just accumulate a little Doge there and wait until I have enough to cash it out for Onion and withdraw it immediately after, so it's not a huge deal if something does go wrong, but it would definitely benefit us to expand asap to another exchange.

Which is indeed an explanation as to what they're doing, but I'm wondering why they're doing it. So say you bring ATS down or new altcoins, then what? The price for BTC goes up or something? So then it would be specifically coordinated from a BTC view. I'm not saying it, just speculating on the reasoning.

The problem is that you can rent DDoS as a service for as little as $20 an hour. It's a shame people don't take IT security seriously
