I just read the 2nd newsletter explanation of the upcoming DeepSend feature:

It's a good read and it looks like, that there will be nodes with Mixers and Guarantors.

Do you know how many coins we need to run a node? Is there any reward for the node, when you act as a mixer or gurantor?

If any two nodes are online will be enough for DeepSend to function. Mixers and guarantors will get extra ONIONs by participating the transactions so people keeping their wallet online with high balances will have a chance to get these extra ONION rewards from each of the transactions they participated. Exact details we will announce later. We hope it will promote more people to keep wallets 24 hours online and this will allow stronger and faster network and also stronger Tor Network. This means more security and anonymity or Freedom for everyone.  It is much better for people to protect their wallet transactions from sites like blockseer.com, when more people found out the potential risks we think more people will move to DeepOnion's advanced safe network and use DeepSend secure transaction system. We also develop our own innovation DeepTrust lately.

Seriously, this community is bringing out the best from all the members. Anyone who has the "latent" skills is incentivized to use it for betterment of the community at large making DeepOnion and its supporters richer and happier.!

I love it when the community bands together and "makes it happen" .. this is the alternative image of decentralization and dare I say "alter governance" where each of the actors acts responsibly. Only the responsible actors get rewarded. Keeping the best at top and the malicious at the bottom.!

This is a mathematical model of human behavior. With right incentives, we can make DeepOnion a great place to live! (or in that case any other community or even the world). Keep the spirits high people. We all need DeepOnion to be stronger and DeepOnion needs your help to be Stronger!

This place is an overflowing pit of enthusiasm and community support. Never seen anything like it before and it is still continuing. That in itself is mind blowing.

Yes i saw this kind of hype earlier in Dark coin thread..Long time ago.

I'm little bit skeptical when I see OP has negative trust, and serious accusations are posted. Why don't you work out on this? I mean those are respectable members of this forum, and if you are serious you should do something about this. I like concept of airdrop and i think this is fair distribution.

I don't respect those members at all. They posted warnings on a whim and potentially harmed the reputation of a legitimate developer. I personally don't believe that DO is a scam at all and think it's irrational to assume so given the current circumstances. Is there a tiny chance? Yes, always. But I don't see Lauda and his goons red trusting obvious scams, so that just makes his feedback entirely untrustworthy and unreliable to me.

All points have been addressed in the past by the way. Anyone who understands cryptography will know that there is never any such thing as 100% absolute anonymity, but there definitely is 100% anonymity for any practical scenario, so using that as an argument is a joke.
Even quantum cryptography (which literally changes the information as soon as somebody accesses it) will not be 100% unbreachable by absolute measures. Technically it'd always be possible to reconstruct the way in which the information gets altered and then reconstruct a "best guess" from that. However, that's most likely not going to happen for hundreds of years unless AI really pops off.

Similarly weak arguments were made against the staking of the premine, which already have been addressed in the past. Since the staking rewards are going to be used for bounties and since the remainder of it will be paid out in a final 41st round, there's absolutely no argument against it until the 41st round is actually supposed to take place. And by that time it would just be stupid to not share the staked Onions, since it would annihilate any trust in the project and obliterate the price over night. And if we even get that far, we'll have the promised features implemented anyways, and then all the points that were brought up would've shown to be irrelevant.

In either case, just wait until the end of the year and see if DeepSend gets implemented or close to implementation as by announcement and everyone will know pretty much for sure if this project is for real or not.

I wonder what will happen in China. I certainly do not see the Chinese walking away from cryptocurrencies. To the contrary, I think they want them bad, looking at what holding Yuans the next few years might bring (inflation/devaluation?). They will find a way for sure.

If the Chinese regulators will not permit anything related to cryptocurrency (instead of forcing the exchange of cryptocurrencies to 'official exchanges'), I expect them to go underground. With exchanges, with transactions, everything.

This table could give many interpretations.
I only used the number of participants who are able to complete the current nine rounds from since week 1 as an example because it is safer to interpret.

Judging only on that table it is hard to determine exact how many of the 2nd, 3rd week and so still did make to the ninth round.
It is safe to bet that those who got 8 rounds are from 2nd week, and probably some are from since week 1 who missed one round. Same case for the 7 rounds and so.


But the more detail can be found in the detailed sheet.

Thanks ssb883 for this spreadsheet. The part which which gets me excited, is the graph showing the massive reduction in the dumping of coins. This means most cheaters have been kicked and it is now the people that really want Onions to succeed that is holding onto them. This will make ultimately result in the Onion price growing organically. Well done community, and remember to HODL!

It is great that early the cheaters are found out. Preventing the airrop from getting abused.
Also new participants can now know why it takes time to be accepted, and why there is a thorough review process of getting accepted.

When I dump my private key from the console window, I get my private key. But when I tried and check the details with the paper wallet generator, it gives me a different public address for that private key.
I've tried it with 3 wallets. Any reason for this?

This is me, and the block explorer bug .. I have not sold any DeepOnion!

I had mistakenly given a Novaexchange address, and my account still has a balance of 1373 DeepOnion. I wanted to change the address to put it on my wallet that stake but I could not, it was too late, I was enrolled with this address ...

But the blockchain explorer says the opposite ... I had the same problem with another currency crypto.

My friend this is sad to know how really happened. The blockexplorer has no bug.
This is why never use for airdrop a wallet address from an exchange because it is the exchange admin that is in control.
And once the exchange admin moved your coins from the wallet you provided for airdrop that is subject for airdrop violation.
The balance we see in exchange are numbers provided by exchange but not what is in wallet.
It is important you found out this soon maybe there exists a fix. However this I'm not so sure.

It is confirming with our stats we see less cheaters, this means our ban operation become successful. Community contributions increased. We are also developing background new innovations. Everything goes nice and smooth.

Thanks. To clarify, the 3 'dumpers' are those who made it to the 9th round but have their balance moved by more than 90% since.
And they would have a problem getting to the 10th round.
