With your account created Sept 18, I think you will need to wait some weeks ^^ It's really recent. I recommand you to start being active on the forum from now, to be sure you will have your chance to join the airdrop: https://deeponion.org/community/. Patience seems to be the first lesson DeepOnion give to people xD myself include.

Apply for onions for the first time. Because of lack of qualifications before, so did not apply. This lets go of the rule limit. It's a good move. This will enable more people to participate in community development and dedication. I hope you can apply. Wish me luck.

Anyone saw this? Wonderful update to the support area. It will help and organize more the moderators work. People could see now the status of their problems. Thanks for the update! Cool, exactly what I need, as I got blacklisted. But how do I raise a ticket? It doesn't give any further options... Another great feature to help out our amazing community We hope that you like it.

So what is DeepVault? Quite simply, DeepVault is an information store that is held within the blockchain meaning that the data is immutable, forever! More specifically, DeepVault allows Onion members to store file validation credentials (hashes of files) within the blockchain. This has obvious benefits as it allows users to verify a file's integrity over time. Therefore, if the hash of the file changes, then the file has been altered or corrupted. This tool will be invaluable in checking whether your important documents are secure and have not been tampered with. Legal documents are an obvious use for this feature as it would enable a person to verify that the document, and thus content, has not been altered either maliciously, erroneously or through file corruption.
This is a very interesting development and I look forward to more information about it! I wonder how large a file can be stored on the chain?? As described, DeepVault will store hashes of files on the blockchain, not the files themselves. Hash functions take an input of arbitrary size and turns them into the outputs of the same size. Cryptographic hash functions have one important characteristic: if you change your input even a little bit, the output changes entirely in the way that's impossible to predict. Use case looks like this: - take a document of arbitrary size
- compute its hash
- record the hash on the blockchain (for example by using transaction with OP_RETURN locking script)
When you want to find out whether someone has tampered with your document, you just compute its hash again and compare it to the hash value stored on the blockchain. If both hash values are the same, you can safely assume, that the document has not changed even a tiny bit since its original hash value was recorded on blockchain. If current hash value differs from the hash value recorded on the blockchain, you're document has been modified in some way.

What`s with yobit? There it costs only 0.1 BTC to get a new coin added as far as I know.
YoBit, is perfectly the baddest place to get a coin listed to. Nobody likes that exchanger, theres too much scam coins being listed there, pumping and dumping in daily basis and other bad stuffs that will surely hurt the onions ! I have shared thr thread about coingather, to let the devs and community members aware about this exchanger and the requirements in order to get a coin listed . I also doesnt accept to get DO listed in bad exchanger but, i just made my duty toward the community. Even adding the name of our coin in the vote list could bring new investors and members, at final .. The community and the devs have the final say about this matter

We have only received a sneak preview of DeepVault and the way its intended to function, more information will be revealed closer to launch.

Can I assume that mining DeepOnion is pretty much going to be only efficient on ASIC i.e. that running a miner on spare cpu cycles would be a complete waste of time?
I don't think it could be CPU mined at all. GPU mined, yes. With that said, the ship sailed months ago. Unless you have an ASIC farm, I wouldn't bother. As much as I love DO, even my 3 rig setup isn't worth throwing at it. Mine Ether, and convert to DO. Can I assume that mining DeepOnion is pretty much going to be only efficient on ASIC i.e. that running a miner on spare cpu cycles would be a complete waste of time?
that's right, gpu and especially cpu mining are meaningless for x13 algo. Thanks both, in the back of my mind I thought that might be so - but just being a relatively new coin I wondered was there some (slim) possibility that all there wasnt yet huge competition, thought I would ask anyway.
