Wonderful update. This is what Deep Onion needed, something that ensures the work behind and be viewed like.. this is something serious. Many people now will look at deep onion differently. I have no doubt that deep onion promises a lot because they are not just a development team, we are now 300 participants in the air like the Spartans.
I will make a youtube video talking about this in spanish later!
Amen! Let's continue to support the deeponion project. We are in the 12 round of airdrops 28 weeks to go. #DeepOnion #HybridCryptoCurrency

Thanks

DeepVault DeepVault is a blockchain innovation brought to you by the DeepOnion Development team. DeepVault allows users to determine whether or not a file has been changed or corrupted by enabling hash verification of the file. Non-technical users:A hash is a random string of characters of fixed length (for example: hello = 2cf24dba5fb0a30e26e83b2ac5b9e29e1b161e5c1fa7425e73043362938b9824, hello1 = 91e9240f415223982edc345532630710e94a7f52cd5f48f5ee1afc555078f0ab). A hash is unique as no two inputs (files or texts) generate the same hash. For instance, hello and hello1 will have completely different hash values as witnessed in the previous example. One use for hashing is the ability to generate the hash of a file. What this means is that the current version of the file is hashed at that moment in time. As previously mentioned, even changing 1 character in the file will generate a completely different hash. This is obviously very useful if you have an important file (such as a legal contract) that you wish to verify its integrity. Upon signing a contract, you could generate its hash using the wallet and store it in the blockchain. You could then check in a few months time that the hash generated earlier matches the current hash of the file. If they match, it means that the file has not been altered and thus the contract is still valid. If they do not match, it means that the file has been altered (if this is a legal document, you need to make sure that someone has not maliciously tampered with it). The benefit of utilising the blockchain is that it is immutable (cannot be changed). That means that when you store the hash, it is available forever and can never be changed. Technical Users:The hash is generated using SHA-256, a current hashing function with no known collisions. The function can also incorporate the user's wallet to provide restriction as to the hash value (a form of cryptographic security). Important:DeepVault is not a file store, it is a hash store. You should take every necessary step to secure your documents from tampering by storing them in a secure location. Thank you for your time and we look forward to answering any of your questions. thanks sir crypto-rainbow for this very detailed explanation of new deeponion feature called deepvault. very well explained for both novice and experts. more power deeponion!

I agree with you that the more participators are involved in the airdrop the better. Nevertheless the quality of users and prevention of fraud takes the first position.

Just to confirm, there isnt a new release of the wallet yet right? This is just a sneak peak of exactly how deepvault will work?

Yes, it gets currently tested by mods and devs and will published in about 1-2 weeks. Check the deeponion forum to be informed about the recent news.

DeepVault is an innovation that is very interesting and useful. Now the business is trying to sell its products in the blockchain system and this is very good for the crypto currency world.

Is it over 10 posts a day on bitcointalk or is it on the deeponion forum too? reading some posts in this thread someone mentioned to post there also? ;d
it is still continue the bct weekly 10 posts requirement we asked every one to register official forums, those never registered will be excluded from the airdrop. Hi Crypto.. I've read that the cost of hashing your document to the blockchain will be 1 Onion. Will the wallet do an automatic coin control feature with the deduction of the 1 Onion? Or will you need to do a coin control after you have hashed the document and payed the 1 Onion.

Rather, they would open an opportunity to create a ticket. This will greatly simplify the life of those who are in trouble, with blacklist
That's what I am waiting on. Would be some much simpler then chasing a thread somewhere or getting on a Slack... Etc. Would simplify a lot of things. Now one Q, will there be a timeline to answer tickets? Let's say 48hr to reply or give status or update? Thanks!

@crypto-rainbow in DV , is it possible to remove a filehash? what about fee? also do you have a road-map to integrate a cloud storage to store file itself? file could encrypt using PK from user address then store on a cloud.

Hey crypto-rainbow, once the new wallet is out with the deepvault, do you know if they will publish the code on the official github?
I usualy like to build the wallet binaries myself and like to look at the code. Until now we haven't had the opportunity to do that. Alot of code release the code and often people build it themselves or post code review, i haven't seen this yet on this project.
I think we would benefit from feeding those "expert users".
Thanks for enlightening me up!

I agree with you that the more participators are involved in the airdrop the better. Nevertheless the quality of users and prevention of fraud takes the first position. it's just sad that there are plenty of people who are good enough that are still blacklisted for many weeks now. many blacklisted people remains loyal even while blacklisted. they continue to do their part in posting and participating in the forum. i hope devs/mods can take some time to get these people back to airdrop program. these people can be potential assets to the community.

Hi all I have been busy... retweeting constantly, making a few designs and a bit of Anti-fuding here on the forum. Oh i have a competition if anyone want to take part in it https://deeponion.org/community/threads/my-first-onion-competition.3536On that competition i am opposite to the DeepOnion bitcointalk post checker, so if you enter it, ensure your post is less than 50 characters I do not count punctuation but i do count letters numbers and spaces. Not many have entered yet and it ends this coming Sunday at 6 PM GMT, so you should have a good chance. Read the rules on the front page, basically if there isn't enough votes to democratically decide the winners i will use my own discretion. Good luck if you enter. Top prize 1 place 50 onions , 10 other prizes of 10 onions and another 10 prizes of 5 onions. Another excellent poster @whitefish This is a great contest that will help everyone remember that the message should be at least 50 characters long.

true, some experts prefer to compile the source code and run. at the same time, they can take a look at the code before compiling. one advantage of posting source codes to the github is that users can also help check the codes for bugs. downside is ofcourse, if bad people saw the bug and take advantage of it to do damage.

Well you rather see people finds bugs and exploit them before you DO gets to 200$, believe me! I really like this project, but i don't think it can go very high if the code isn't published. We have more than 3,000 members, so this project is very popular and very "horizontal" we need some "vertical users", that will be able to dig more into technical aspect of it!
