I can only speculate about this. But what is the real purpose of wearing a signature? It's attracting other people to join the community / invest into the project. Seems a bit pointless to do this in a dedicated DeepOnion forum, no? Of course, you can still wear it in the DeepOnion forums if you like the looks of it.

I can only speculate about this. But what is the real purpose of wearing a signature? It's attracting other people to join the community / invest into the project. It can help to engage and attract new users (visitors) that are not on the forum yet! But also it helps for existing users, with handy links to all official DeepOnion URL's in one place.

Wise decision, much appreciated that the voice of the community has been listened to again. Very good for the decentralization and should also at least partially help to reduce the power of whales. Looking forward to see the new rules in practice. But for now, successful airdrop 15 for those who are eligible

How can it help reduce the power of whales?
Whales who came in late can now participate in the aidrops too. They finally end up accumulating more onions.

That would add very less value. A signature mainly acts as an advertisement. Advertising DO in DO forum does not count towards it. But restricting wearing signatures of competitor coins might help.

The new signatures are mandatory to use only after the coming airdrop (15th) you can still have the old ones for this round don't worry.

Yes, I think they are good to go now - the http// error that was present in a few instances were corrected as far as I understand.

You still have options to put any of the 2 according to your rank here.  So, it seems your current signature is not going to be a problem and you do not need to change it at least for the time being.  Change of signature most probably will be needed though if another signature update announcement is made.
