What I don't understand btw is why does everyone who creates these wallpapers always uploads their hash to DeepVault? It doesn't really make sense security wise, is it only for "coolness" factor?
DeepOnion is in the process of establishing DeepVault to have its own online presence as a notary service for immutable document verification. We advertise and make use of this feature to showcase the strength of the DeepOnion Network over TOR. If you haven't used it you should give it a try, with the latest wallet it works really well and super fast. Yes that's what I meant, just to show that it works and how you can use it. For myself, however, you as a user don't need to verify the image is the same as the poster posted, you are not interested in this special case. Of course for important documents, e.g. contracts it's very useful. You could e.g. upload the hash of a contract pdf so both sides can verify later nobody has altered it. |

Damn this thread is getting a lot of attention. from 1827 pages as I left it on friday to 1863 now. that is absolutely crazy. But in the same time it is also very hard to follow and reply to questions.

I did ask previously if there are some programmatic way to anchor hashes to the Onions blockchain (via Python or Node.js, among others). So I am very excited to hear this! Looking forward to some developer resources and API details on how to do this. This can result in DeepOnions being a VERY strong competitor to Tierion. |

With constant development and upgrade on DeepVault it will easily gain mass adoption by the time people become aware of how it can be used for notary service olus the anonymity it offers will render others that want to copy the project helpless.

Price is very low for this coin. the mining profitability of one GTX1060 is around 3.3 ONION a day (0.0003 BTC). That's when people choose wisely and not mine some Zcash  then of course there's some people who have at least 6 of those in a farm. And they'd trade themselves 100 ONION in 5 days.
