Hi Primedice!

Any plan to open deposit for altcoins on primedice ? Stake.com had that but I don't see it on primedice, i'm sure many people also wait this too. I'm stop using bitcoin for a while because of the fee, so I hope primedice will open that option same like stake.

thanks

It's finally being seriously worked on and will be complete in the near future. Which coins specifically did you want to see on PD?

I think what you guys should do is just bite the bullet AND...

Go Lightning

Looking at the LN node explorer https://lnmainnet.gaben.win/ there are already many nodes and channels opened.

There is a certain degree of risk but you can always cap it to say 0.01BTC or so.

Be the very first site to make bets on the lighting network.

Deposits are easy the harder part is post-play withdrawals. I'm not sure if there's an easy way to do bi-directional lightning transactions without us having to put two transactions into the blockchain. I'll talk to our developers more about it, lightning isn't something I have a lot of knowledge of yet but I'm definitely interested in learning more.

I do know that lightning devs have however discouraged use on the main net but for a smaller amount it could be a fun test.

From what I recall if you leave the BTC that you received on the lighting channel, when the user withdraws you can use that same BTC to send it back to them, unless you close the channel and send the BTC back to yourself on the main net.

Yes I agree currently many developers are warning others not to use lightning due to bugs... however for a small BTC amount it should be fine and would help weed out the bugs.

I think there is a Trezor retailer that is selling hardware wallets on LN even.

I can't even imagine betting such a huge amount on a dice game. But some of these guys are so crazy about gambling and ready to lose so huge amount if luck doesn't support.

Even though these guys are early adopters of Bitcoins but still it is a huge money at the current market price. Anyway, congratulations to winner and

So do you really think that millionaires will sit in front of a computer and play millions of dollars worth of coins which they invested ,i really do not think so,they will head out and play in a real casino if they are dealing with millions of dollars and most of the players online who wage big amount of money are actually early adapters . Congrats on the crazy win.

How about millionaires from around the globe where gambling is illegal and online gambling is the only way they could have some fun, places like the middle east ,where they have crazy billionaires but does not have any gambling casino to have fun, they might come over and take advantage of this,i am just speculating and saying it is possible or may be he does have a lot of coins sitting around in his wallet.

I just said based on my common sense because no one wants to spend so much money to play online dice game. If they are so much craze about gambling then mostly they will choose to go to real casinos to play with a huge amount. I also early investor to LTC and got more LTC coins so sometimes I spend more of these coins playing dice than Bitcoins.

Richer people gamble more money at real casinos with a much higher house edge all the time. It isn't inconceivable that a high roller would appreciate a 1% house edge from the comfort of their own home enough to wager just as much online.

The edge alone is higher, however this doesn’t account for perks that physical casinos offer, which makes their effective house edge lower. The experience that physical casinos can offer will often trump the difference in the house edge.

Why would you think people are not going that high on betting online? I believe there is not much different between online and offline, so if there is early adopter which is holding like 10k of btc, I do not think it is impossible for them to spend like 1k just to gamble here. For them, to have more coin means pretty high risk too to hold it for that long, so spend it on gambling will be the best way

If I'm the one want to deposit huge money on online gambling site even though it is trusted site but still think that what if casino don't pay me back my winnings for a huge amount?

Why do you think that anyone will scare or worry about holding a huge number of bitcoins for a long term? The best part of these cryptocurrencies is no one can trace who is the owner of those coins then why anyone need to worry?

Just because got more coins people will not waste money on gambling. if you want to spend your coins you can spend them to buy anything then why only gambling?

There is nothing wrong on assuming that this highrollers in a dice game are early adopters of Bitcoin as I agree with MinerHQ I can't imagine a big time buyer of Bitcoin will ever spend big on a gambling site rather than a physical casino. Seeing bets range from 1BTC to more than I can imagine will let me think that they are really owners of Bitcoin when they were once cheap. From issues such as withdrawals and deposits that are not reflecting to your account I think that early adopters are the ones who can comfortably risk their money.

"Congratulations chaNo8pha on your HUGE 90 BTC (1,000,000 USD) win!"

this is one hell of  a luck to be betting 0.07 bitcoins on  29x multiplier and winning two times
sometimes you can wait for this damn 29x to come for 400 rolls if not more
guess money get attracted to money and who doesn't risk doesn't win big
hope he rained some of it and made even more gamblers a bit happier that day Smiley

My guess is they are some old adopter of Bitcoin and they got probably 10,000 BTC in their cold storage somewhere.

On Reddit there is some Pineapple fund where some anonymous old adopter basically is donating millions of BTC to open source charities and software companies.

There is another girl who donated like $1,000,000 to Andreas. Basically she was waiting for Roger Ver to send the other half million, he never did, so she sent him the other $500,000.

And these were just donations. So someone gambling these amount is not really that much strange.
