Sorry I should have clarified from the first page
Just-Dice.com
* high limits - currently you can win 21 31 58 75 90 114 129 142 153 219 291 BTC per roll* - and the limits go up daily
I meant it will soon be 300 BTC per roll unless that number is off as well.

Edit
*
* the maximum profit per roll is currently 0.5% of the bankroll of the site.  The bankroll is provided by investors.  The bankroll has grown to become enormous, as can be seen by looking at the cold wallet address.

It went down a bit from 291 to around 267
53,378.73204563 * 0.5 = 266.89 BTC/ Per Roll
I should say
Bank Roll = 60,000 to get to 300/Roll

Believing in Bitcoins and it's ability to change the world

Oh, I see.

When we launched, the maximum profit per roll was 1% of the bankroll, so 291 BTC per roll was when the bankroll was 29,100 BTC. We dropped it to 0.5% (via 0.25%) after nakowa scared us with his monster bets.

So yes, that number is off as well...

That's true.

There's probably too much in the bankroll.

I guess what will happen is that people will drop out as the return gets smaller.

I don't spend any time looking to see what kinds of returns are available from other Bitcoin sites, so really don't know how Just-Dice compares.

Our recent weekly returns have been:

Mar  3 2014    -0.71%
Mar 10 2014    -0.14%
Mar 17 2014     0.41%
Mar 24 2014     0.80%
Mar 31 2014     0.79%
Apr  7 2014     1.35%
Apr 14 2014     0.90%
Apr 21 2014     1.01%
Apr 28 2014     0.85%
May  5 2014     0.56%
May 12 2014     0.32%
May 19 2014     1.05%
May 26 2014     0.35%
Jun  2 2014     0.22%
Jun  9 2014     2.06%
Jun 16 2014     0.22%
Jun 23 2014     0.83%

That's an average (adding them up and dividing by 17) of 0.64% per week or (multiplying by 52) 33.25% per year.

How does that compare with other places? I guess it's not fair anyway, since the bankroll is much bigger now than it was 17 weeks ago.

I hear there are a few sites that double your Bitcoins in 4 business days...  Roll Eyes

Doubling in 4days? Grin Grin

Other sites are new so investors take a chance that there will be some traffic and that the operator will not run away with the money

For exemple, ED was not giving any returns until a few big players came to play and lost big

@doogs numbers: to keep this steady the wagered amount needs to grow just like the bankroll, which will not happen. With a rising bitcoin price I strongly believe that wagered will not grow the same way.

@other sites: I've looked at the only other site that shows their profits before and they were not really convincing. Mostly due to lack of investors profit was either minimal or someone took the whole bank because the investor was probably only one guy alone and someone got lucky.. I personally dont trust other sites really, so I dont care too much.

@doubling: Ponzi schemes etc. obviously People on BCT still fall for them.

33% a year is good enough for me, provided the website lasts for a couple more years or decades. If bitcoin becomes expensive enough it may make many of the early investors be able to live of the interest they receive from their investments.

Since bitcoin obviously does not earn you interest like fiat in banks does, you either need to accept permanently losing bitcoins every time you spend them, or you should invest in something so that you can spend bitcoin without losing your position.

That's why I love just-dice, I hope that someday soon I will be able to live of just the interest it makes me. That's why I hope it is sustainable.

The only thing it needs is a trustworthy admin (I believe Dooglus is very trustworthy) that keeps the site online and working fairly and users that like to gamble. (Seems to be fine for now, and hopefully we can keep attracting new members as bitcoin grows). But if bitcoin becomes large enough I might even consider trying to find other investors and collectively fund an advertising campaign. If it's going to make me a living I don't care what I have to invest in ads.

Absolute + for a decent advertising campaign.
Should bitcoin rise in price as much as many expect wagers will go down even more and we will need many many more customers.

In case any of you investors/bettors are not in the chat currently, bets have been disabled pending the fallout of new legislation in Canada. I'm sure doog will be along shortly to post a more in depth update. All the investors are being paid out so don't panic people, give them time.

Better safe than sorry it seems. The sums of money involved here are huge, and all credit to doog taking the cautious approach. Once the dust settles and things turn out not to be as bad as first thought I'm sure people will re-invest and betting will resume.

I guess I should take a few seconds out from trying to get the withdrawals working as smoothly as possible to confirm that we are suspending betting and deposits until it becomes clearer what the new Canadian law means for us.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully we will be able to be back up and running at some point, but for now I think it is best if you divest and withdraw your coins.

Obviously there's quite a rush of withdrawals at the moment, and I'm trying my best to keep the hot wallet full.

We don't ever spend unconfirmed "change" outputs, so there's a bit of a bottleneck in that respect. If you can't withdraw now, please wait for a block to be mined and try again.

If you need to withdraw a large (> 50 BTC) amount, please try it on the site first, and if it fails, email doog.justdice@gmail.com repeating the amount, destination address, and userid (number, on the account tab) and I will manually process your withdrawal for you.

Thanks for your patience, and sorry again that I have to do this, but I don't want to risk having your coins confiscated for "money laundering" now that Canada appears to have decided that Bitcoin is money after all.
