If i just mine to my wallet, should i restore it with seed, or i can continue mining and hold wallet files (can them be opened with next version of daemon)? I do not need coins right now, but it must be very sad if they miss.

everyone feel free to move back to your normal pools if they're running the alpha5 daemon (check to make sure they're in sync with the official pool)

Hmm, well, it's a very official sounding statement, I'll give you that. A bit light on some of what I would consider to be essential details starting with what is a network attack? I'm guessing it's not NiceHash, so perhaps an array of ASIC miners coming online on a private pool or even running solo? As the old tabloid slogan goes, "Enquiring* minds want to know!" * - [sic], from National Enquirer.

Hundreds of blocks are added in few minutes.

Is it possible to withdraw several thousand coins from stocks.exchange at once? It's still kind of problematic. I don't feel safe leaving the coins there.
I don't think it's possible

Hello everyone, Dero has updated to alpha6 which drops backwards compatibility with the old C++ daemon. We are asking everyone to please update right away to the latest version of Dero (alpha6) which can be found here: seeds.dero.io/alpha/
-
We are no longer offering ANY support for the old C++ daemon. Please consider this the official notice that an update is required.
-
This notice is equally important for pool operators, miners, and individual users. Thank you everyone!

If you give them a few days to update they should be able to review your support request thoroughly at that time. Once they're on the new daemon things should be much easier for them

This is a bit weird... All official channels from Dero are saying that new Alpha Release must be used but no source code available in the public repository. Why so? Personally I don't like to execute a binary from third parties (even if it's official) without having the chance to explore the source code. Please, publish the last release code!

I've heard that is the plan. They just haven't yet (most likely to maintain their golang edge for the time being)

I'm confused. Is Dero open source or isn't it? If it is, where is the source code? If Dero has now transitioned into closed-source code, it no longer merits being considered a cryptocurrency. https://coincenter.org/entry/what-is-open-source-and-why-is-it-important-for-cryptocurrency-and-open-blockchain-projectsThe developers say that the older C++ code is no longer supported. With the source code as yet unreleased, AT THIS POINT DERO BECOMES A CLOSED SOURCE CRYPTOCURRENCY. Which is to say, no longer really a cryptocurrency or cryptoasset at all. Can the developers please clarify on this important issue?

In case it is just a delay and the release source code will be published soon, I'd also like to know the point to not make the development open. So anyone can comment, sent PR or participate the code in some way while the development is in progress.
This way of doing: publish binary then some days/weeks after publish code (all in one PUSH) is not the way opensource projects work.
