There needs to be some serious advertising being done here.  Less towards webcam girls and what not and more towards everyday people interested in the sexcoin niche.  Doge got big because it had a meme to back it which connected it with a greater audience.  Start going to sites like reddit and asking moderators (just click their name and send message, really easy) in things such as r/gonewild, r/amateur, if it would be against their policy to allow users to be tipped in sexcoins.  Just think about it.  Girl/guy posts album of themselves with their sexcoin address attached.  People get tipped for good content, and the original poster can also entice their audience by rewarding them for good comments.  Businesses are skeptical to take a risk on such a volatile currency.  If a larger percentage of the public is using it, the value will increase, grow in popularity, and stabilize.  Reach the people then you'll reach the businesses.  Just my opinion.  Spread the word, this coin has potential.

I just put up the next "Limiter-enabled" build.

The default win32 download now has the limiter disabled.
I had a report that the mac client isn't working, I'm looking into that.

I've also had conflicting reports about the ubuntu builds. Please specify which ubuntu build you are using when reporting problems.

Download clients from http://sexcoin.info

does the no-limiter patch need to be applied to the latest wallet?

Lava said "The default win32 download now has the limiter disabled." so that would be no...

Hi, hope there are some of u wise people in here who can help me:) I wanted to transfer some sexcoins to Coinex, but it is not in their database and in my wallet says unconfirmed, it should be the latest wallet I have, so don´t know why it can´t transfer to the address at coinex:( It has been like this all day now, if just this wallet had the same reset like the new multibit so I could at least go back, or if someone could explain to me why it wont sync or transfer, this is getting frustrated as I don´t have any problems with my other currencies but just this one:/

Kind of a noob so be gentle Smiley

Ok does the wallet say it's unconfirmed or does the exchange say it's unconfirmed ?

I think it´s the transaction. The balance in my wallet is minus those coins and in the wallet it says that 0.00 SXC is unconfirmed.

Please fix the damn de-sync problems with the Sexcoin client :S this problem keeps infesting a lot of alt-coin wallets, just tried deleting everything ( after backing up of course ) and the syncing has just stopped working.

Edit: Looks like it's slowly repairing itself but we'll see what happens.

It's been explained many times, but I'll run through it again...

You will see TWO patches on sexcoin.info

LIMITED PATCHS

These patches have a block height limit, eg 480000, or 498000 the latest was 505170.

When the block height gets above these limits the client stops syncing..

UNLIMITED PATCH

This has NO LIMIT on on the block height and will always SYNC.

http://www.sexcoin.info/sexcoin-qt-0.6.4.1-RC1-Windows32-NoLimiter.zip

Why the limited patches ?

There is a hardfork coming up. The idea of the limited patches was to cause the client to desync forcing people to upgrade to the new client.

I agree that while the exchanges and pools will upgrade to the new client, having been in this community for years , I know that some won't bother till they can't send their coins. Even worse you'll get some retard solo mining with the old client after the fork, "because he's making lots of coins" then complaining that he can't send them to the exchanges, and then if after several hours of explaining by us he gets the gist of what a hardfork is and realises that the coins are worthless, palming them off to somebody else who didn't upgrade. Then we have the "scamcoin" accusations running rampant by those who don't understand the basic technical aspects of crypto....

THE WHOLE IDEA IS TO PROTECT YOU FROM SCAMMERS !

Why the unlimited patch ?

With the limited patch we have set a deadline for the release of the new client. Every time that deadline is missed and the client desyncs, people get upset and don't want to patch again, or think they already have patched, or think there is something seriously wrong with the coin and it's reputation suffers. So the Unlimited patch was released for those who understand how important it will be to upgrade to the new client and don't want to download patch after patch...

As you can see, there are two different management philosophies in play, because sexcoin doesn't have a boss, it has a team and often the team doesn't agree on how to go about things. This was a compromise to keep everybody happy and cover all the bases...

I would advise you to download : http://www.sexcoin.info/sexcoin-qt-0.6.4.1-RC1-Windows32-NoLimiter.zip and then keep an eye out for the new client.

No worries I just updated the OP with the latest patch, which I should have done much earlier...

Hi everyone! Today Im launching a new website for SXC. Its called Sexcoin Ladies and can be found at www.sxcladies.com. A number of services are offered here, we have a public gallery where ladies can post sexy pics for tips (yes just like reddit), advertise webcam shows, escort services and even buy and sell goods for sexcoin. This is all provided free of charge and its up to the members to decide what they want to offer.

On that note, we are looking for SXC ladies who want to offer these services. So if you, or anyone you know would be interested you can visit the site for more details and pm me there or send an email to [email protected].

Check out our milestone bonuses and see if you would like to add some or donate some coins to encourage ladies to post. We will be increasing the bonuses every week by a set amount distributed amongst the remaining bonuses.

Also if you have an adult shop or just want to sell adult good, or even general goods and services, check out our classifieds section
