I also wants to see the chinise ultra miner gone from this pool until then I switch pool to trademybit. This pool is way to large now to mine the smaller more profitable coins.

10$ payment today is a joke. It was more than 2x before.

Right now the most profitable scrypt coin is Memecoin with a network hashrate of 244.81 MH. Middlecoin is more than 5000% larger than network hashrate.

Not sure about memecoin. It gives you around 60$ per day. Any other options?

At which hashrate?

4800 KHS.

Memecoin is still 300% more profitable that dogecoin which we are mining right now.

No apologies needed, these are very good questions. middlecoin doesn't need to use other pools, it can just mine directly as a peer on those networks because of the huge hashpower, thus it gets 100% of the block payout with no fees for someone else. Some of the newer badly designed altcoins have to be mined directly on the network or the delays and latency of using another pool would cause a terrible payout percentage.

Is there a minimal reasonable hashrate for direct mining, like 1% of network hashpower? Middlecoin is pretty big now, but I assume it started out small and used alt pools for mining at least for a while? I'm wondering how it got off the ground if it first had to use middle men.. or am I assuming too much, did it attract a lot of hashpower immediately?
Yes, any hashrate below 1kh/s is not being reported in the stats.

Also you need at least 0.001 BTC collected in 7 days for a payout to be reported in the stats.

Regular users may collect >0.01 BTC payments in their first day and get paid and reported in the stats.

As for the bootstrapping, yes you can use a lower starting fee and pay the fee for other pools and grow like that.

Hi all, I would try to mine at this pool, but I read that the difficulty is fixed at 512. I can only reach 0.12 MH/s, so I would ask you: can I still mine with this hashrate and difficulty 512, or will I mine for hours without submitting any shares?
anyone has experience of mining with low hashrates and high difficulties?

I have been mining with 0.04 MH/s and i submit around 40 shares in 12 hours approx. earning 0.0002 BTC.

Hashcows and multipool are not mining it either. Where would they exchange it if they mined it? And how can you tell it is 300% more profitable? I can't!

Today we had a hashrate of 652.4 MH/s, and a payout of 31.7. So we had an average profit of 0.0486 BTC per MH/s per day.

I wouldn't expect that to continue though. Our mystery coin's difficulty has gone up.
Confirmed ! I get 0.243 btc with my 5 mh/s rig today ! Thank you very much ! I wonder how you caculate the hashrate a day when it sometimes go up and sometimes go down ! Keeping good work and I will follow you !

0.243 Huh

You must mean 0.0243 right?

210 USD a day from a 5 MH rig seems a bit unrealistic.

This is from my 4 Mhash (4 PC's - 6 GPU's pointing on 1 BTC address)

I'm not saying we should mine it, we can't.
I just want people to understand that the only scrypt coins that can handle middlecoins insane hashpower are dogecoin (22.06 GH/s) and litecoin (129.92 GH/s) which are not very "profitable" at the moment.

At the same time other smaller multipools can mine scrypt coins which are 200-300% more profitable.

Just to give you perspective Middlecoin represents 50% of dogecoin network hashrate. That's completely insane.

Yes, I agree. And even if we went to mine those, it would take something like 30-90 seconds to raise the difficulty on those coins and drive their profitability into the ground, then return to the mentioned coins for the rest of the hour. In total, it wouldn't be a huge bonus because it can only be obtained for a short period.

SimonG, So what is the average profitability in BTC/day or USD/day per MH/S in the past month on  your pool (ur from hashcows right?)

Thanks.

It's about 0,013 per MH/s.

I have two rigs each 1.5 MH/s and yesterday I got 0.02 on first one and only 0.01 on middlecoin.

Who is clever enough to make an andriod widget which displays our vital stats?  A version of this perhaps - http://bitcoinideal.eu/middlecoin/index.php?username=1M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh

I have a "read to submit" app for the apple store.

Home page:

Details page:

I'll submit it today and it should take a week until apple aprove it...or not.

I like how it looks. Any chance of getting it early so I can install it on my iPhone?   Wink

I'm a noob just starting, all donations are welcome.  13DXKRXQncUnWAFtemSwNH7boRZfEfsg5a

I have switched over to multipool and am enjoying myself there now, much better web interface, much more statistical information, such as what altcoin we are mining. Thanks, H2O. Remember, if you lose trust, you are nothing.

Good bye, noobs and lazy ones here at middlecoin! Good luck to you!
