You guys need the middlecoin watcher python app. I just have a constant updated screen on my desktop. Hoping to get it ported onto my little lcd stats display soon link for the lazy: https://github.com/michwill/mdcNoob question... When I try to run either mdc or mdc2, it gives syntax errors on closing quotation marks for some reason. for example in mdc2, the syntax error is on line 54. print " %s:\t%.2f mBTC = %.2f %s "What should I do? that's odd, I just downloaded it and it works. maybe check your python version and try downloading it again? I have python 3.3.3 and have tried both x86 and x64. Which version are you using? It's not compatible with Python 3. I'd suggest either downgrading to 2.7 or you could try running 2to3 on it. http://docs.python.org/2/library/2to3.htmlIn python 3 and above print is a function and that's why you face problems Open the py files and add braces to the print function such that print "Refresh interval : %.2f seconds." % (sleeptime*60) becomes print("Refresh interval : %.2f seconds." % (sleeptime*60)) Once you have made all the changes save and run the file again. I am not sure if anything else breaks because of different python versions but this will solve your errors with print.

Please take your technical questions to another forum. Your problem is not specific to middlecoin so please don't clog this forum up any more than it already has been with spam and offtopic stuff. This goes for all the other technical/hardware questions as well... there are other sub-forums that you should be posting in instead, and you will get faster response there.
It isn't and wasn't a technical question, It was about the fact that my hash rate had dropped by a lot ''ON THIS POOL'' , Who the fuck are you to tell anyone what to do anyway ? Noob, You're no different to me, Ten more or so posts and you own the place? GTFO! If anybody has something useful to say about a drop in performance on this pool, Please let me know because I hope I'm not alone.

It's not entirely all about your hash rate pal it's how many shares your rig can accept. sometimes lowering your intensity also lowers your hash rate but increases the number of accepted shares. My cgminer is showing steady 1.35mh/s but my pool hash rate jumps from 1.2-1.5 mh/s yet I am happy with this and with payouts I've been receiving everyday.

I know everybody is probably going to shoot me down in flames, But since yesterday something has changed, I'm no longer getting the hash rate I was, I've dropped at least ten percent overnight, I checked and double checked all my settings and temperatures , Reinstalled all mining apps, Tried every config i ever used and also the older versions of apps to see if I have lost my mind, But no , I have lost ''AT LEAST'' 170 Kh/s overall since yesterday, Its actually reporting less on my PC than i was getting yesterday, I cant see how it is possible, Everything is the same.

Even the forum names you a newbie... Telling someone that he shouldn't have posted what he posted won't help anyone.

You said "even your PC" was reporting 170 less than yesterday--meaning your local client, didn't say it was only this pool. Since you had such an immature tantrum on this board and think post count means anything (LMAO), I expect you to continue to have problems. Only idiots think post count means anything, and your Please take your technical questions to another forum. Post count means nothing, Sure but you have no right to be an authority over anybody considering you have only opened your gob a few times, Most likely judging by your posts probably only to talk crap to somebody, And as far as tantrums go I'm not the one doing it. Go advise somebody on the outside lane of the motorway with your eyes shut.

Find the cause of the first two big drops. That will most likely be the cause of the problem.

Make up your mind already! More to do with the fact you jumped down my throat because you think I have no idea what I'm doing,I haven't posted a lot, But I've been reading these forums for ages. I was asking about the function of this pool so I feel it was perfectly acceptable to be asking the things I did. Lucky for me, It looks like I have solved my issues.

Pulled a lot of my hair out, Seemed like that didn't help, So I reinstalled Windows fresh, And all drivers, Dumped Multiminer and went back to CGMiner. Haven't got any other advice apart from that,, Sorry. Hopefully it looks as though it's hashing fine again. What happened at the point of the first big drop??? because its fine up till then, then when it comes back on its ok for a few hours then the next drop chops off the 10%. Find the cause of the first two big drops. That will most likely be the cause of the problem.
It was a power cut, Really not cool because last night was the biggest earner in ages, So i lost a hell of a lot. All good now touch wood, Thanks.
