Hi people,
im new here and can someone tell me why no shares and what i make wrong, i use:

-o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u my wallet address -p 123
and nothing http://s861.photobucket.com/user/scotty_tu/media/middle_zpsabb88813.jpg.html

10x

Did you miss --scrypt by any chance? Looks like it.

yes i didnt use it, because when add it, just start and disapear.

Get cgminer 3.7.2. Use --scrypt option. Run from windows command line ("cmd") so you can capture any errors.

That's not going to work for him... he's trying to use a USB ASICminer Block Erupter on Middlecoin.
so i cant use it in this pool ?

No. You really should do a bit more homework. Seriously all the information that you need is in these forums. Use the search button.

Like I said in my other post above...

You should be using that USB miner to mine on BTCGuild or a Bitcoin P2Pool node.
It won't work with ANY Scrypt based pool.  Only SHA256 based pools for mining Bitcoin (and other compatible coins) directly.

- vddc shows 1.2v in the web stats interface but max 1.14 in my conf file... And ccc seems to confirm max at 1.14.
Undervolting via cgminer rarely works. You can use MSI Afterburner in Windows in order to check if the voltage control is unlocked and can be controlled by software. If not - you'll need to flush you GPUs' BIOS in order to unlock.

We have explored that topic a lot in the past weeks.

Have a look at this thread about
(A) optimizing with stock voltage,
(B) undervolting, potentially with your own modified BIOS, and
(C) undervolting and underclocking to a certain sweet spot

The reason for doing this is NOT to blindly increase the khash/s. But to save money by using much less electricity.
(C) results in amazing khash/Watt efficiency:  Almost 3 khash/Watt for the whole rig, and 4.0 khash/Watt for the GPUs only.

Very important for people in countries with high electricity prices, and those mediocre weeks with low coin output.

I suggest to jump into posting #37 now - but if you want to try, please read the whole thread. More reading, but less tears :-)

This is potentially dangerous since that might brick your GPUs.
Exactly. That's why I like the VBE7 approach, to not just flush any other BIOS, perhaps even from a different vendor, but to use the original BIOS, and just tweak 3 values.  Posting #45 gives such a BIOS, and how I created it.

Still, there is enough danger left. Do it at your own risk - and not in all of your GPU cards at the same time.

Happy mining!

---
P.S.: Let's spread the word, imagine the altcoin network starts saving 1/4, 1/3 or even 1/2 of electricity.

Can I ask how you work out the kH/Watt for the GPU's only?

Sure.
(g)pu (d)isable all cards, then measure the remaining (in my case 81) Watts, and subtract that baseline everywhere.

It's not exact, an idle card still uses a few Watts, perhaps even only single digit - but compared to >200Watts, it's only ~5% wrong.

A discussion of that topic is in posting #72. Come over if you are interested.

Do you know if there a thread for the R290X also, looks neat, and must try to optimize my rig soon... :-D

How is this proof that the scrypt ASICs are out? I am just curious. Isn't this the same person we suspected to be running a botnet or a GPU farm?

It's not proof, but it is evidence.  That and multiple sources are saying they are out, and China is selling them on Alibaba already.  The seller is not verified and I really hope it's just an elaborate scam, but if it is not then I guess I will put off building the GPU Rig I was planning for next month Sad

If you want vardiff, head over to Hashco.ws or Wafflepool.  You can see how well it's working over there.  H20's been pretty adamant he wants nothing to do with vardiff.

Just as FYI, the stats seem to have stopped rather than flatlined as before.

GPU mining is NOT dead.

you can buy 9 R9 280X cards for $3500 and get the same hash rate 6MH @ 1800W. Power usage is higher than ASIC (1200W). But GPUs have a second hand market value. GPUs come with warranty and they are manufactured by well known companies unlike those ASIC vendors who accept BTC and Western Union payments only.

H2o please hire someone that knows DB programming.  The web page stats freezing multiple times a week is unacceptable when the pool owner is knocking down $4K+ day.

If you don't see the significance of a working Scrypt ASIC then I don't know what else to say.

GPU mining is not dead, but if that ASIC is real, then it is on it's way out.

Do I need the Python script to pull from the table?
