Regardless, since ASIC resistance is such a core feature of alemost of the coins we're mining on Middlecoin, I'm not worried. If ASICs are made effective, the coin devs will make tweaks (small or large) that will make them useless.
I hope to hell this statement never comes true. If you want crypto currency to ever be considered mainstream then it needs stability in the public eye. If the devs can just change the way a coin is mined on a whim then what other things can they change for themselves?? No. ASICs will come and the coin devs that are smart will embrace them and not change a damn thing.

H2o please hire someone that knows DB programming. The web page stats freezing multiple times a week is unacceptable when the pool owner is knocking down $4K+ day.
No, you don't understand.. This is where the magic happens

As I understand it, anyone can fork to do their own flavour of evil but as long as it doesn't get picked up by the majority of miners no harm is done. So I guess a successful fork will have community consensus and I don't see that happening if they start to 'change things for themselves'.

All this decent discussion on ASIC vs GPU and no one mentions the DDR6 due this year with supposed scrypt hashes upwards of 2 mh/s? Dafuq?

Also, people seem to forget that Scrypt ASICs allow for more expandability for miners like me, with 11 rigs. I have no room left, I'd be tripping breakers, and too much heat is being generated.
Scrypt ASICs would solve all these problems for me.
So that argument about X number of 280x's costing XXX dollars, isn't totally relevant when trying to compare to ASICs, which can allow much more hashing, with much less power consumption, and much less heat being generated, and taking up a much smaller footprint.
Also applies to people who live in smaller apartments. Suddenly instead of having enough circuits to allow going from 5 MH/s, to being able to power four X 25 MH/s ASICs, will make a huge difference.

Running from what? Their past.... They had a troubled up bring, born on the wrong side of the hash!

h2o, are you adding the crappy and useless merged-mine Scrypt coins like United Scrypt Coins? No obvious drawback, possibly no reward, but possibly a nice bonus every now and then if one of them gains a following. Dumping hashpower on them may increase credibility among idiots.

And then there is EVERYONE else. That dont have 11 rigs. That have 1-4 GPUs. lol Feel sorry for the guy with 11 rigs. bring asic so he can rape everyone more then he is now. EDIT: Also applies to people who live in smaller apartments. buy a fucking house.

I don't know about you, but I'm not concerned about Scrypt ASIC's rendering my GPU's obsolete for mining. I'm sure there will be something new to mine anyway.
And what's with the spiteful reply? lol, bunch of kids on here full of hate... seriously.
...and I have a house....
I can also say the same to you.. Instead of buying a "fuckin house". Buy some more "fucking" rigs, or stop complaining like a child.

Is a 5-6% reject ratio normal for middlecoin? Or do I need to tweak my config?

That would be because you have 11 rigs. Sure you have a shit ton of hash cool. but once scypt acis come out. normal people will become obsolete. Like mining bitcoins is now. like it has been said a million times before. Some people don't have a house payment to put out on mining rigs. Its like rich people telling poor people how slow there new Maserati is.
