Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

I do not know if ethereum is ready to take bitcoin's crown just yet. Ethereum is mostly utilized for smart contacts. Its price is much much lesser than bitcoin's price and is greatlg affected by bitcoin's fluctuation. It is a good coin but it still needs more improvement to be able to take over bitcoin.

ethereum is a good project , but thats means he will overtake bitcoin in next year i dont agree with you. bitcoin can always try to take his own position, i thought it can survive long time.

I don't think that ethereum will overtake bitcoin because bitcoin has a lot of hype right now and a lot of people are looking at bitcoin as a great option of investment because of its technology and features also and i think that ethereum still needs a lot of improvements and upgrades before it can fully overtake bitcoin.

I don't think so, until the altcoin (most of all) are contracted in eth it will never become number. Think deeply, the buying and selling is the life of any altcoin, the eth goes down because of selling the token to eth then we based on bitcoin to convert in fiat. The bitcoin now has a good price, so it encourage some user to invest than any altcoin.

We know that it is because they balance the price when trade it to local currency, but if we see in graph, the price of eth goes down and bitcoin rise, it means that it will never overtake the bitcoin.

I do not think that the Ethereum will cost more than Bitcoin next year. Ethereum have a large base of opportunities, but Bitcoin popular. After all, it has become very famous in the world. It came on the Chicago Stock Exchange on December 18 and the Ethereum is still far from such heights.

I don't think it will happen because ethereum availability is unlimited so ethereum price movement will be slow when compared to bitcoin because bitcoin is limited amount so small amount of bitcoin movement can make the difference in their price.

Personally I think if any coin would overtake bitcoin then it will be the end of crypto currency.

I agree that Ethereum might not become as big as Bitcoin, but it definitely will become popular and highly in demand in the near future.

No it will not, If you are going to compare the value of bitcoins to ethereum then you will notice that the price is very far and it was very impossible for ethcoins to reach bitcoins because the pump is very slow in the market so i think that it cannot really reach bitcoins value even in the future.

Bitcoin main drawbacks are the transaction time and cost.
As we have witnessed lately with Crypto kitties, Ethereum cannot handle neither too many transactions. It has lowest fees than bitcoin but if it isn't able to handle many transactions, it will never overtake overbitcoin.
The main interest of Ethereum is for smartcontract.

I think it will not happen, bitcoin will remain in the top of crypto currency world, yes there are some altcoin like ethereum has potential to beat bitcoin but the progress of bitcoin and popularization are going strong it would helps to make bitcoin still on top.
Ethereum is great for long term holding like bitcoin because the value are continuous increasing that is why if you have this for long term it can generate huge profit in the right time.

Bitcoin major problems are the transaction time and cost. Ethereum is a great smart contract platform, but it have huge competitions that such as neo, neo transaction is faster and better ethereum.. I don't think btc is going anyrway soon. Cause investor trust it more

I think it's because Eth has not gone through what BTC is currently going through right now. Although I am quite disappointed in Bitcoin a payment channel now, I think all coins that become popular will have to go through some issues or opportunities to improve.

No it is not possible to overcome BITCOINS because ETHEREUM is to far from the Bitcoins and there is huge distance to cover. Ethereum is also having good potential but i don't think that it is so quick.

Yes there is a big chance that Ethereum will be next to Bitcoin but it will take a lot time to reach Bitcoin's level. Back to where both Bitcoin and Ethereum started, they do have similarities.

bitcoin is the main altcoin and will never be replaced, but ethereum also has excellent potential, both in trade, investment, and plus ico also has many coins based on ethereum. I'm sure ethereum can balance the bitcoin, but not mean beating bitcoin.

i never think ethereum can overtake bitcoin.Noone can ever replace bitcoin his rank as no.1 in the cryptocurrency.Though ethereum is also now getting popular and indemand because of tokens and ico's,but there's a big chance that ethereum can reach half of bitcoin value in the near future.

Look around you, people just starting to talk about cryptocurrencies...What are they talking about ? Etherium , Monero Dash or Neo

No , they talk about BITCOIN. If they decide to enter the market, it's 1st to buy BITCOIN . After if they study a little bit further, they will perhaps add more cryptos but initially it's for BITCOIN.

The thing is that the beginning of 2018 could be tough for BTC because of the scaling issue...as we will need 1 year about to have the Lightning Network implemented. After that, 2019 could be as good as 2017...

Bitcoin, fairly distributed, not centralized, king of coins.
Ethereum, sold in ico and centralized, not that hard of a choice imo.
