Wish these companies thought about names for something so big.  Litecoin sounds like a lite version of bitcoin.    even lightcoin sounds better.     also dunno way bytecoin thought that was a good name unless the idea is to confuse everyone

Bitcoin, which has for years been the currency of choice on the so-called dark web, is falling out of favor among criminals. This is not surprising given bitcoin’s sluggish processing times, and law enforcement’s growing ability to track its transactions.

More surprising is what these criminals are turning to instead. Rather than using one of the newer digital currencies with extra privacy features, such as ZCash or Monero, the most popular alternative is the bitcoin clone, Litecoin.

Those are among the findings laid out in a new report by Recorded Future, a threat intelligence company that monitors criminal forums on the dark web where many illegal transactions are arranged. Here is a key paragraph from the report:

    Litecoin emerged as the second most popular currency, with 30% of all vendors who implemented alternative payment methods willing to accept it. Dash is closely trailing Litecoin with 20% of the market. Unexpectedly, Bitcoin Cash was the third most common cryptocurrency with 13% of vendors trusting it as a payment method.

The report also notes that Litecoin is especially popular in Russia, while English speaking countries favor Monero, which many people consider all but untraceable.

LTC had a nice start. Now, as in the whole market, the LTC has fallen in price. The LTC is one of the oldest projects on this market. I believe in good prices. It is not an investment recommendation.

For me I think the possible price of the litecoin become $1000 so it's better to buy litecoin now. Because if you have litecoin you cn gain more profit. For sure those people who bought litecoin when the price is very cheap or 1 digit are now very happy because some of them for sure are now rich or earn big profit.  I hope I go back to the prjce when it cheap and buy thusands of litecoin and hold it for few years to become rich.

I honestly hope there are nice developments going on with the coin.
As I currently feel this coin is underperforming compared to others, in terms of price. On the other hand, I love using it for transactions, as its quick and cheap, a nice alternative for eth for making transactions. So the underperformance is not a bad thing by this perspective.
If they make developments to further improve the coin, I might be looking into buying more of it.

I think there have to be some big changes coming for LTC. I still am stuck on the Charlie Lee drama with selling all of his coins. It seems like a move that would be required if he was going onward to develop bigger partnerships with LTC and other companies (FB?)

Yeah your right, value of litecoin now in the market seems healthy because more people now are looking for some alternative coin to invest. I guess they want to promote litecoin now that why their price are continuously increasing.
Buying litecoin now is a good strategies due to their price recently was not yet on the maximum value so I believe that if we buy now, we will earn a lot of income in the near future.

The coin is of course reliable but not very used. The future price will also depend on the facts, how successfully and how fast will be implemented the planned new features.
