Isn't this the main thread for DeepONION, it is written as self-moderated so was curious which one to follow Yes, this is the new official thread. Please bookmark this one and ignore the other one. The original thread has been hacked and so far cannot be recovered. Better to let the other one go as it will get infested with fudders

Congrats to the winners. This week's lottery was huge! 1st place winner won more than 340 $onions. That's big amount, imagine in few months 1 $onion=50 $ --> that's 17.000 $. Nice. Damn some big wins here in the weekly DeepOnion lottery. Glad to see both familiar and new names here. I must remember to take part next week. I like to see that people win something. But taking part in the lottery is not for me. I never win anything. Better to invest wisely than to gamble for me. That's why I just expand my onion holdings by buying more and leave lottery for the people feeling Lucky.

Sounds like a great project but I heard DeepOnion is a stupid name.
I would not say so. It has a meaning behind it, Deep like the web and Onion like the Tor network. Its an unique name if you ask me and recognizeable also it sticks out from the masses. Agreed! Has meaning behind it. It is a good name. And as a hobbyist gardener, I appreciate it even more. haha

Btw I think that DO thread is the fastest growing thread on Bitcointalk! It's just growing too fast.

I quite disagree with dragonvslinux, I think DeepOnion is catchy and meaningful I agree, it's meaningfull and we need to keep this name. Even if it didn't mean anything, It stands out because it's "different". The name and logo stand out from the "regular" alt coin. Different is good if you want people to remember the brand. branding is part of what is needed for mass adoption. In the end after mass adoption, people wouldn't mind to transfer value by a coin named "fuckbutts" or whatever.

Are there any reason to not unlock the wallet for staking? Or should i take attention to something if i would do this?
There is no reason to not unlock you wallet for staking. Your coins are safe, if someone attempts to make a transfer from that wallet then it will still require the password to unlock again

I think it would be to build a computer that is dedicated entirely to staking and not using it for any other purpose oncesoever. It seems like overkill but can you imagine staking a coin that is worth hundreds of thousands on the same PC you watch porn on?

This is true, I am very happy with the service levels of the KUCOIN to the extent that all the coins I hodl are from KUCOIN. I have accounts on Binance, Cryptopia and HiitBTC but everything about KUCOIN stands out...hopefully they become more popular than they are. Never needed it, but how is the support at Kucoin ? I remember seeing some messages on DO forum a while ago that deposits were frozen. Was this solved quickly and correctly ? Did not know about some deposit being frozen. But It's better to use Kucoin than cryptopia having long delays for DeepOnion deposits/withdrawals. Is there any issues for the withdrawal? Anyone knows? As far as I know, there are no issues on withdraw or deposit (or at least I havent had anyone)

People do it on raspberry pi which I'm planning on doing soon too, that's basically what you're describing. Lots of people use these to stake in general these days.

Kucoin never had any issues I think Kucoin also had some issues with deposits being frozen, so they couldn't be used for trading. Remember reading something about this on DO communityh forum. But I guess this has already been solved and isn't an issue anymore.

Confirmed here also that Cryptopia Exchange is now back to normal or even faster I tried withdraw 5 ONIONs, the speed of transaction was done in under a minute Check out the time stamped below If anyone interested checking out the transaction speed simply try out our faucet at deeponion.space I made a speedy ONION withdraw from Cryptopia last week. Withdrawing ONION back to my wallet is almost instant, was done in under a minute
