Yes, DeepOnion is gaining traction for many reasons!  new improvement in the code is being implemented, soon In November (my guess) there will be a totally new code for DeepOnion updated with Segwit, lightning network, smart contracts, DeepSend, etc etc! new features. DeepVault already working perfectly!
