Good for the people using Satowallet. I've seen some of the communication between Satowallet users and the team over there and they don't seem to care that much about the issues their users have. Certainly not enough to get in touch with the DeepOnion team earlier and fix them. Let's hope that all the issues regarding DeepOnion will be able to get fixed now.

Yes, I learned my lesson. I already knew not to keep large amounts on an exchange but I had a couple dollars worth of 'Linda' on Cryptopia because I have an aunt named Linda I might go to another exchange and purchase another couple bucks worth but I am not happy about it at all!!

Yeah, the problem is that there are still no real safeguards for when you leave your coins in an exchange. Now, I tend to trust Kucoin more than some other exchanges but really, who knows what can happen at any time...

It is always to say that all exchanges have their own internal risks to collapse. Generally, you will be safer if you don't store your money on exchanges. Instead of storing your money directly on whichever exchages, you should download and install official websites of crypto currencies you own in your portfolio, then you will be safe from potential attacks on exchanges, even they big and famous.

It may be an acceptable strategy to split the coins between personal wallet and exchange staking. Say 50:50 max, or like 80:20 to be on the more conservative side by keeping only 20% of the coins on exchange.
