I am having issues with my miners. I have 8. I recently had a power outage and ever since then have only been able to get the miners to come up and hash for short periods of time. After 5-10 minutes 2-4 of them will start giving the invalid response error. I tried programming them with the the 1v1 and 1v0 firmwares and no help. I am running bfgminer 4.0.0 since the power outage. 3.10.0 before that but I was having the same problem with that version of bfg.
I'm no expert, but I had something very similar happen to me after a power outage when I was using a PSU that was being pushed running the chilis. How many chilis are you running per what size PSU?

Have you tried just a few of them directly plugged into the computer, or tried replacing the USB hub? I have had 6 of the 8 running fine since yesterday now. but I am not sure if they are through hubs or directly or both. I think there are some in each category. EDIT: They are all using usb hubs the 2 that aren't running now 1 is plugged into 1 hub the other into the other and both hubs have at least 1 working unit also plugged in.

I'm no expert, but I had something very similar happen to me after a power outage when I was using a PSU that was being pushed running the chilis. How many chilis are you running per what size PSU? 2 chilis per PSU 2 750w gold PSUs 1 650w bronze PSU 1 600w bronze PSU the 2 that are not working are on 1 750w gold PSU

I'd try just one on that PSU to see how it does. Maybe the power outage damaged the PSU? Or have you tried one or both with another PSU? If both the troubled ones are using the same PSU that is unfortunately where I'd recommend starting.

The 1.0 fw is not stable - the devices crashes i.e. no connection at all and I have to powercycle it, and the temp is a constant 55C !?

Thanks for the fast reply, so far it is working and the temperature reading is back: BFL 0: 61.0C | 32.52/32.55/31.22Gh/s | A:1808 R:9+0(.44%) HW:1305/3.9% The chilli gets slighly higher hasrates and hw errors with this fw, I wander about the consumption but it should be the about the same since the voltage is 1 V

I'd speculate that with the 1V firmware that power supply is running so cool that you might be running into those issues. If you want to run the 1.0V firmware, remove the extra fan. Not running the extra couple watts on the fan helps with efficiency too.

The boards had a problem with crashing at the switch over from warm up power to running power, nominally around 1 volt Chances are that using the 1.0v firmware will not allow the switchover. 1.1v firmware is probably trying to switch the power before the circuit is heated and stable.

I have this same issue with a chili that i just flashed with the 1v firmware - it was running the 'Slow Rise' firmware - i suspect this has confused the board somewhat - any ideas what i can do to sort this?

I have this same issue with a chili that i just flashed with the 1v firmware - it was running the 'Slow Rise' firmware - i suspect this has confused the board somewhat - any ideas what i can do to sort this? plugged it into a different machine - with a little bit of wiggling on the power cable the lights go out and its recognised in windows just as a USB serial port though? not as a Bitforce SHA like my others? Tried to reprogram using the chiliflash app but it locks up just after clicking program with the second light lit. Any ideas? I plan on using all my breaks at work today to try and get this fixed  (I have a copy of the slow rise firmware to reflash on it) I'm using the FDTI/VCP drivers from here: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htmedit - its a timeout thing nothing to do with wiggling the cables  I have checked with the fdti program app and it responds and bfgminer can even talk to it after a long time so I wonder if it could simply be a driver issue...
