No... it is EXACTLY like them simply walking off with people's money.  They will shuffle money around like accountants do, then have the company go bankrupt, and pocket it all.  These guys need jail time.

I agree these people should go to jail but also think people should be trying to get their money back instead of simply sitting back and doing nothing.

People have filed fraud reports and taken other steps to report them to legal authorities as well.   This is only one vector in all of this.

I'm in the boat of "Paid 100%, got 30% refund".  I knew this was a risky bet and didn't gamble with money I couldn't afford to lose.  Filing court against is also a gamble... for some people it's def worth the risk, for others it's not.  I simply don't believe I'll see a dime of what they owe me regardless of my actions.

Do I believe people should fight for they money back?  Absolutely... as long as they understand: Even if you win... you still might not get your money back AND you'll be out court costs.

^^this. I got a PM the other day from an Alpha customer whose bailiff cheque just cleared for £2400. If you include  Mubasher Akram in the claim the bailiffs will come after him personally, as was the case here. Alpha tried to ignore the award but when bailiffs contacted him Mubasher paid by debit card on the spot!!!

Im considering to open a case against cityaddresses via MCOL. One guy from Austria (my homecountry) wrote me, that he also used cityaddresses to forward mail and he received his court-mail. So finally he went to the hearing and won his case.

In Sept 2014 I asked cityaddresses for status, so is there any new mail as i expect mail from MCOL? They answered, that theres is no mail and that they forward mail within the same day of receipt. So what happened then? I got TWO MCOL-documents in ONE envelop after 5 working days (usual delivery time from UK to AT).

So i filled form N180 and sent it to MCOL timely, and they transfered my case to the Manchester county court (17th sept 2014).

Since then i havent heard anything. In November i asked cityaddresses again for status, no answer, nothing.
1 month ago I asked again for status, nothing, no answer.

I also asked the court via their e-filing e-mail address twice (November 2014 and 2 days ago). I asked them, if i can help? If i have to send more documents? If they need anything from me? If they sent anything to me? No answer, nothing.
Unfortunately my spoken english is very very bad (not really existent), so i cant communicate my problem via telephone, dont have any practice  , and this is the reason, why i requested an interpreter with form N180.

Slipknot, you need to be calling into the court where they transferred your case, once a week. CityAddress is slow, and they are only a formality. I wish I knew a faster service, but I am not from UK so I used them. True, they will wait a long time to send you your mail, BUT you can know everything from calling into your court and giving them the case #. They are helpful and happy to help. Be sure to ask if you have any fees to pay, as you WILL need to pay a fee when assigned a hearing date. But also, try a Summary Judgement. They've not updated in months with any real info.

We know their court cases are going not so well.



We also know they are accountants, so I expect a bankruptcy declaration at any moment.

It almost sounds like it allows you to prepay postal charges so that they ship mail without waiting for you to pay.
