nxt is going down now http://clip2net.com/s/6tsqXS

been fluctuating for the last few hours.

If anything its good for Nxt seeing as it helps spread the distribution and get Nxt to more people, also it was just at .04 not even a couple days ago. So I expected some pullback.

Nxt is getting distributed, big stakeholders are selling. That is a GOOD thing!

Is there something weird going on in nxt network / blockchain?

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=2000&tra=14529141608986373607

there's one of my transactions: Over 12 hour ago it was 556/1440 confirmations and now it is 530/1440. What happened to 26 confirmations? And is it normal to take +24h for 1440?

Maybe you were on a wrong fork. Everything seems normal in my client.

Disregarding price (which will up go and down anyways), the volume we have been seeing lately is looking very healthy. Also, if the huge increase in # of transactions from the alias system is any indicator, as more and more features are added, the nxt network will be very busy!

http://coinmarketcap.com/

Additionally, the number of 2nd gen coins in the top 10 are taking over. This could signify a paradigm shift away from copycoins to actual useful coins competing directly against bitcoin. 2014 is going to be very exciting Cool

1 Transaction per min, give or take so yes 1440 a day

NXT VPS Server Donations can be sent here: 6044921191674841550
At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

At the moment we are not reaching 1440 blocks every day though. The average seems to be around 800, so it will take more than 24 hours to get to 1440.

Hmm, okay.

Still having hard time to understand where did the confirmations go. It took something around 12h to make it 556/1440 and now in the NEXT +12h it went down to 530/1440.

Can I still have faith that it will go up to 1440?  Roll Eyes

Mine has been slower than expected, too, but it's getting there.
As to faith: over the past few days I've seen the people here working very hard and successfully to get things working.

So yes Cheesy

Now is a good time to buy in, the price went down, due to a big stakeholder cashing out!

I think everyone with a couple of brain cells agrees that NXT technology is better than BTC (and any other coin for that matter) and that there won't be any valid point to keep using BTC once the NXT source code is released.
the only issue is assuring mass adoption.
for example LTC , although now being a pointless coin from a technical point of view (NXT, XPM, DTC ans some others are all much faster ), still carries on thanks to mass adoption as everyone who had a semi-decent computer and graphic card in the past year owns some of it by now.
the mass adoption issue though is easily resolvable if the original investors and current big players devolve at least 5% of their investment to the faucet. that would mean possibly 5 million new users holding at least 1 coin. that would actually make it more democratic and a fair coin than BTC or LTC....as anyone who is even remotely interested in crypto would get 1 NXT for free guaranteed and without even mining. people who want a bigger stake can then buy them, mine , do bounties etc . in other words a free market. would be fair&square.
so getting the faucet to work properly and in timely fashion is essential and the faucet link should be right below installation instructions as that 1 NXT coin is their access coin into the system.
btw the original investors are not at all as tight as I thought....I reeceived a more than generous donation to now get me started and although I'm very grateful (thx again!) it is better to give many people 1 coin rather than just throw at some random guy 100 coins (who he  might be tempted to just sell for a quick profit) .
I know manually sending to many people 1 coin is a pain and time consuming.....that's why I think the main wealth redistribution  should be the faucet.  while the faucet is still having issues try giving out that 1 coin to all newbies who are trying to get in .
if by official launch (when the source code gets released) over 1 million ppl will be holding at least 1 key (all the bitcointalk community pretty much)...it will be unstoppable imo.

thats 1 block per minute target.  a block can contain lots of transactions.  thats why it was such a cool score when I won the lottery for block 22000 and temporarily became top miner even though my stake is a very modest 0.2%
