I checked my account just now and found the balance is 0.
it should be 20000. What is the problem? I am so worried.

did you use a fairly simple passphrase or did you pick a very powerful complex one?  check your account number in the blockchain
http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=PUTURACCTNOHERE

i put in my account and the check result is right.
but in my client it is still ZERO.
What is the problem? what should I do?

Close the Client. Restart the .bat file and reload the client and see if it shows up.

This is all I'm gonna I'm going to speak on this, it is quite literally a waste of my time telling people to just look at the NXT blockchain to see the same conclusion anyone with common sense will find, then to be called a troll by founders and the developer.

Not going into your post content wise, i would like to go into it from a communication point of view.
I find it hard to believe that you are surprised by the reception you got on the forums.

Your first post starts with a HUGE pic of the blockchain with angry red ALLCAPS pointing out the unfairness.
Now, I'm not saying the system may or may not be inherently unfair. I am reserving judgement.

However, if from post ONE, you come in criticising, I as a mod or admin would also be taken aback and think "who the hell is this guy and why does he even post on a forum for a product he evidently doesn't trust?".

If someone would have done that on my forums, I'd basically ignore him as someone who barges into a pub and starting to complain about the bad quality of the establishment.

Contentwise you may be right, but you are doing yourself and your viewpoint a severe disservice by basically communicating extemely aggressively. And yes, at that point, the discussion will most probably nót go about content, but emotion.  Roll Eyes

One last thing, because I only just noticed it and it sorta ties in to your points..

...to be fair, you probably shouldn't base judgment on the content on forums and just draw your own conclusions, I mean for example, the proposal I made on nextcoin.org forum has been deleted,
per the print screen I made last night.. you know.. just in case.. hah.

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1268.msg13727.html#msg13727

and a print screen from today.. same forum, gone...

btw you can see people on the next page reacting to the proposal, but I guess they decided it wasn't fit for their forum, or perhaps they'll say I deleted it. I did not.

those big red letters were the current font I had selected, sorry if it screamed agenda. peace.
and like my last post on nextcoin.org (before it was deleted)

see you in 6 months... Wink

Would it ever be possible to make pools of some kind with Nxt?

Probably would help get more people interested if they could be able to generate more Nxt from forging. Instead of the real low balance holders seeing things like having to wait months to generate a block.

For example, I believe 6635869272840226493 is the account of the DGEX exchange(since there are about 415 pages of transactions for them...). They have generated 4,985 NXT in fee's earned up till now because of the balance that is held there. Maybe one could spread it at certain intervals based on how much Nxt was invested per account. Would there be a way to use that thinking in creating a pool of some kind?

Probably not but whateva   Tongue

BCNext doesn't support centralization. U should cooperate and implement pools by urself.

Hey...relax Smiley

I was just trying to think of ways to help the people that complain about the time it takes to forge something with low balances. Following the way that people with low khash can pool together to get blocks along with those of high khash Tongue.

Didn't know it was centralizing though...sorry  Undecided

Im an admin/mod there, but not the owner.  I tried to look at the posts he was talking about but couldnt figure out what he said was missing.  I asked a bit ago in this thread for him to explain it so I could better understand what he said was missing.

Quote
[root@vps08 ~]# lynx -dump http://localhost:7874/nxt?&requestType=getState
[1] 2898
[root@vps08 ~]# {"errorCode":1,"errorDescription":"Incorrect request"}

Any tips?

Shouldn't the client ask for the passphrase AGAIN when trying to send NXT?

Good idea!

Maybe CfB can comment on the dev team's desire to manage a NXT marketing campaign?

Ask Jean-Luc, he is the captain.

Good idea!

or ideally, somehow 2 different passphrases.  1 to unlock the client for forging, and 1 to send funds

Please forgive my OCD/Paranoia/ADHD tone while asking, but I much rather have those than deal with the potential future PTSD...

OK... so one has chosen a super secure passphrase... you know one of those that will take a billion gazillion trillion years of non-stop brute force to crack...

Considering that he/she needs to have his/her wallet unlocked to forge and at the same time that wallet needs to have a decent amount of NXT in order to have a chance generating a block...

Shouldn't the client ask for the passphrase AGAIN when trying to send NXT?

How far can a super secure passphrase take you if all a hacker needs is to remotely access your computer and hope you are forging?

Even though I have voted for the partially done features to be completed first... I believe that it is CRITICAL for the client to ask for the passphrase when trying to send NXT.  ...yes, you will have to type in your super long passphrase every time...

If anyone could clear the fog without adding the feature, it is FINE with me!   Wink

Peercoin works the same way, when activating PoS you need to leave the wallet unlocked, which doesn't prompt for passphrase when sending money, creating new addresses, etc.

I agree though, just as a precaution it would be nice if it always prompt for your passphrase when sending money. Although if someone has remote access to your computer they'd get it eventually, would just take silently installing a keylogger to capture the initial request next time you launch NXT.
