Wesley's auto-updating Mac client has been terrific for me. Almost no hassle to maintain on top of my VPS node. I think it's a safe "easy-install" bet for Mac users.... Until a proper client is built, anyway.

We definitely need a better Windows solution.

In general, I'm disappointed in the lack of support from the founders for people who are building clients. On the list of Things That Need To Be Working Better Soon, this is at the top of my list.  Alas, nobody has any control over the whims of anyone, so nothing can be forced.  If I were sitting on a 5% Nxt stake, though, I'd think very carefully about supporting Wesley, ferment, nexern, Olivier, and JunhuaLyu.

Mobile is big....I think we all know this....we just have to see which NXT feature can be best utilized on mobile...and Arbitrary messaging is a big one...we don't even have to mention that we can do payments and all....with the NSA fiasco many people are very keen on arbitrary messaging.....that's why Bittorrent is launching a similar service....Nxt is more than payment....we are not limited like Bitcoin.

For mass adoption you need simple easy to use clients. As of now the general public will show no interest as they can not install NXT. simple as that.

Edit: I really find it hard to believe that the original stakeholders are not compensating Nexern for his efforts.

What needs to be done is, developers should release a free and commercial versions of clients, commercial version should include more features.

People aren't very willing to donate when many are quite satisfied with free basic features and may not see any need in advanced features.

Advanced features clients should not be free, they shouldn't cost a whole lot but people would be more willing for pay for a ready product than donating for development. It's a time tested approach in software market. There are even several levels of commercial:

Free - basic feature of what current NXt client does now: unlock account, send money, view transactions, hallmark generation, set aliases.

Home - Free features + Messaging, Voting

Business - Home features + decentralised exchange.

Feel free to come with your own feature set for different versions. But I am 100% sure this will enormously speed up development of client software, coders will be motivated. Currently, as it stands, no donations = no motivation to develop anything. Some coders have full time day jobs and can't dedicate more than a couple of hours a day. Others don't want to invest time into something they can't get any donations for.

I'm not good at programming, but I'm studying.

I think the developers can profit from the development even no donations. Sooner start to learn, study and develop Nxt and more you can gain and make more money from the development and your project. Nxt is more than currency and payment network like other coins. We can dig a lot and start a lot business. Nxt will definitely attract more developers. Thank you developers.

one week since "NXT" appears on my PC screen, I stay this froum at all times as I like new things(only this reason).
now could anyone tell me why people should use NXT or anyone think about this？ at very begining, what is main purpose for NXT, for BTC=decentralized，for XRP=payment, for NXT=? it has beautiful view, and many function will added in the future，make it looks like a coin game。I need your excuse if I said anything wrong.
For the reason why the transaction fee set min 1NXT（if I get 2 NXT from the faucet，that mean I can do one time transaction）。 someone said if set too low, nobody interest in mining。sounds reasonable， but forget others know who is the biggest miner。forgive me，i want say，the stakeholder sell
