so many Chinese Grin

I tried to write on a post by me that more and more chinese at least in my city are going to invest more and more on NXT, I personally know more and more friends that are more and more interested in NXT because this can be the real new Crypto.
When I tried to tell to somebody every other people of this forum accused me to be a kind of fan boy but come on, how can people can believe on something like TIPS, WUB, MOON, EARTH etc all of them are just Pump and Dump, and I'm not saying that is useless because yes everybody likes to make money but NXT is really something that will go far.

As for now I cannot see anything like it around.

prob whever some stakeholders give up some NXT to Nexern for all his work.  Some of these stakeholders with tons of NXT need to come off some of it and pay the man.

How much have you given Nexern? I hear your words, and understand your point, but why should community listen to you? Have you got skin in the game? NXT, bitcoin, LTC, USD, YEN, EUR - what wealth are you contributing to NXT development, or are you donating 'time' only?

Let Nexern speak for himself.

don't use that tone to someone who's giving all that is possible for NXT.

He did more then others with big mouths here, so back off.

Pin

Yeah, maybe I am too hard on opticalcarrier (I deleted that post, but you must have replied in under 120 seconds before I hit delete), but if you point the finger, people point one back at you. Stakeholders don't have to do anything they don't want to. NXT isn't a company with board of directors. All of us are stakeholders. Why should the big holders pay more than anyone else? They didn't start a company.

yeah, and we are likely to think that especially if we have some NXT in our wallet...

BTW, I see Dogecoin going that far too.

@ business-savvy nxters:

Is it possible to monetize a decentralized social network, hosted on Distributed Storage provided by Service Providers? I'm quite tired of checking all accounts on Facebook, Google+, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. Faster a big player comes to Nxt Socialization, earlier I get rid of necessity to waste time on mentioned social networks.

If it's based on MOBILE it may be possible....

....but if all the planned features start running from the Nxt client then you automatically have a social network....alaises, msg, social exchanges, forum etc.

If it we have all features running smoothly in the mobile app then every Nxter is always connected to every other nxter.

22k.io Alias Browser and URL Shortener

All this stuff that you're doing with the alias browser and the browser extensions/addons is great! Really adding value to the alias concept.

I think someone mentioned aliases in hostnames a few pages back, so I put together a quick proof of concept.

Try putting this in a browser:

alias.nxt.pe
or
http://alias.nxt.pe/

For example:
rasppi.nxt.pe
facebook.nxt.pe

Actually this just forwards to 22k.io/alias so it 100% relies all the hard work you've done. And it's just a proof-of-concept / something to play around with. Give it a try, and if you think it works well perhaps it could be implemented as alias.22k.io directly.

Its name can be simply NXTER.

Socialization is more sophisticated phenomenon than just bunch of features.

I agree...my point is that as more & more people start to interact inside the Nxt ecosystem it automatically become a social network like the others.

you have ur news feeds
buddies thru Alias
msging
marketplace
forums
etc

EDIT: Pls don't let me distract from the original idea......Yes if based on MOBILE it may be possible to monetize.

22k.io Alias Browser and URL Shortener

A while back, someone (c-f-b?) mentioned putting json entries into aliases. Has anybody looked into how this might work?

As an example, I have put this into the 'notsoshifty' alias:

Code:
{"web":"http://www.notsoshifty.de/","fb":"notsoshifty","twitter":"notsoshifty","nxtacct":"11111125831111116332","smtp":"notsoshifty111@example.com","skype":"notsoshifty1971"}

Or, easier to read:

Code:
{
   "web" : "http://www.notsoshifty.de/",
   "nxtacct" : "11111125831111116332",
   "smtp" : "notsoshifty111@example.com",
   "skype" : "notsoshifty1971",
   "twitter" : "notsoshifty",
   "fb" : "notsoshifty"
}

So the idea would be that if "nxt:notsoshifty" was entered into a browser, the browser extension would fetch the alias, look for the 'web' entry, and go to that URL (http://www.notsoshifty.de/). A nxt client would look for the 'nxtacct' entry if it was in reference to making a payment; an email client would look for 'smtp', etc.

Ferment: if you think this is a good idea, perhaps you could modify the 22k.io site (and browser extensions?) to check for json and act accordingly? (It should also support the existing method of course). Also anybody who might be developing nxt clients using aliases as account numbers.

This approach is incompatible with URI standard. U should use "multiple:{...}" or something like that.

This approach is incompatible with URI standard. U should use "multiple:{...}" or something like that.

Can you give an example?

Or, if something was preprended to this string would it then become compatible?

E.g.:

Code:
nxtjsonalias:{"web":"http://www.notsoshifty.de/","fb":"notsoshifty","twitter":"notsoshifty","nxtacct":"11111125831111116332","smtp":"notsoshifty111@example.com","skype":"notsoshifty1971"}

(not saying that's a good choice of name - just to illustrate the concept)

Aye, "nxtjsonalias:{"web":"http://www.notsoshifty.de/","fb":"notsoshifty","twitter":"notsoshifty","nxtacct":"11111125831111116332","smtp":"notsoshifty111@example.com","skype":"notsoshifty1971"}" is what I mean.

Are you familiar with the Diaspora distributed social network - https://joindiaspora.com/
