Unfortunately due to the lack of support from the founders, with the exception of aldrin, I am forced to say goodbye.
I have worked through my vacation to come up with a strategic plan for NXT to get to 0.01 BTC and beyond. When the security issue came up, I debated with CfB who was stuck on "its impossible to add second layer of security because NXT is not centralized" to "API v2 will support second layer of security" Doesn't anybody see the significance of this?
I have pointed out the flaws in the addressing, came up with a solution, but not even acknowledgement from jean-luc and a few days later the same problem comes up again.
I have to make a living and I was willing to use up all my savings for living expenses while I worked fulltime on NXT. All I asked for was some incentive options, got only two responses. The more promising one was a "I will wait and see".
This lack of support does not give me the confidence to use up all my savings and I do have to make a living. I was one week late in discovering NXT, due to this I couldn't get enough to be set for life even if it does go up tenfold. Not sure if I will even be able to keep up with this thread, but I will try.
Goodbye NXT, I wish you luck in dealing with the competitors, bugs, usability issues, etc. without a strategic plan or anybody who is working on implementing the plan.
James
Please keep an eye on us. Maybe you jump back in sometime?

dgex problems again...
DGEX is a disaster. They never sent me my approx 1,200 NXT, i emailed them 2+ weeks ago, they replied 1 week later to the effect of "we trust your issue has been resolved". I emailed them back and said it has not, and no reply. Just stole my BTC.

Just a friendly reminder... There will be a Bitcoin Conference in February held in Berlin. http://www.mediabistro.com/insidebitcoins/I am not from Berlin, but would love to represent Nxt on this venue. I decided to take 3 days off and fly over to Germany and use the opportunity to spread the word, let others know about Nxt and it´s features. I am sure that we all will benefit from having someone around at a venue like this. I am asking the community to support these efforts by donating to help fund the journey and the purchase of marketing materials like T-Shirts & pendrives with Nxt logo/slogan on them, printing some cool Nxt bills, and so on. I will document all the expenses and will make the spending of the fund transparent. I will also broadcast from the venue and post some pictures I received donations from 3 persons so far... I am asking community members, escpeially with big stakes to support this and help with funds AND ideas how to make Germany aware of Nxt. Even a couple of hundred Nxts will help. 11433600460445633305Thank you! Send some. I will send more after the conference and you show some photo of what you did Thank you very much!

Actually the time is correct, the problem corrected after I restarted the java client. Any ideas why that is? It was on the correct block before.

James, we really need you. Possible you are too tired of non-stop information flow of NXT. Just take a pause, your idea about public key in alias is excellent, it may find a continue.

... but where and where will it be discussed?
There will be a spearate thread, but I am sure they will post about it here. CfB disappeard for the last 30 minutes or so, so I think they are already preparing it. I'll create a thread for flaw reports only.

I agree they also cancelled possibility to withdraw NXT for free - I ask why 1,4% its worse than banking fees!!! even Bank America has lower fees. And especially from somebody who apparently came in into NXT from the beginning who don't have to solve financial problems for the rest of his life well OK, its his offer we don't have to visit Dgex, but don't you think that 1,4% withdrawal fee is very high??

What deadline do u use? 900. Not good? Good enough. Maybe they just lost in limbo? Nxt, like Bitcoin, is a decentralized system with eventual consistency.

Not bad

How is that relevant to a transaction that was posted as "completed" 2 weeks ago and a ticket opened 12 days ago? I will never see those NXT and nobody at DGEX is even investigating for two weeks. If you can't have faith in an exchange how can you buy more?

So when you send a transaction there is like a 0.1% chance it's corrupted and lost in the network. It should be a priotiry to fix that. Like adding some byte of checksum. And whatever if it's decreasing the "transaction-per-second" potential because nobody will use a network if it's not reliable. (even with it happen only 0.0001% of the time)
Reliability is 100 time more important than scalability
