More details and screenshots are available here or hereIs it open source, if not can you make it Open source? From the posts linked above: "Since I use commercial 3rd party components that I am not allowed to distribute, this is a closed source project. I'm looking into a solution for this, once there is a need to enter your secret into the NXT Solaris client. Likely I will release an open source API for Windows that the NXT Solaris and possibly other clients can use and that encapsulates the secret input dialog and all HTTP communication to the NRS API server."

Morning People,
sorry if I missed the proper thread - I am considering giving it a shot at NXT client dev in QPython for android. I am a hardcore python guy (including PyQT), but not familiar with android. So my thought is that using QPython might provide a bridge for me to cross that gap.
What I haven't figured out yet is the deployment of QPython apps on android: Are they self contained (ie with the interpreter and the libs embedded) so that QPython would NOT be required for the client install of the app?
With java of course, the jre is present on every android client, but not on every linux or windows. Expecting an enduser to jump through hoops to install python libs+stuff would be quite detrimental, I think...
Please give me your opinions!

You're right. That message from JeanLuc is correctly signed. If you copy the message from the website info.nxtcrypto.org, it says it's a bad signature. I confirm too, it's correct at the provided bitcointalk-link gpg: Signature made Fri Jan 10 10:45:56 2014 CET using RSA key ID 3BF9ED80 gpg: Good signature from "Jean-Luc Picard (Lead Developer of The Nxt Generation) <jlp666@yandex.ru>"

Hey, what do you think about this... NXT – created by an unknown rebel, developed by free people! Do you like the world? Do you like the governments? The system? No? You are not alone! Nobody likes to be lied, nobody likes to be restricted, nobody likes to face a wall every time he starts a business, to be forced to break the law, to be pushed around, to be humiliated… But there’s going to be a change! BTC showed the way, it injected a virus in the system. Now NXT will do the rest. An unknown genius rebel, who watched the development of the “virus”, created his masterpiece, setting the beginning of the revolution! Nothing will stop the process, because nothing can stop it! It is irreversible! NXT creates an enviroment with countless opportunities, an environment in which we will build our empire of freedom! I like it

I need a little advice: How can we calculate a daily cost of Nxt web?
Something like: number of peers x watts of the average computer? and transfer kW in Dollars?
Do we know a number of forging computers?
I do a simple calculation for you as following: Say 10, 000 nodes in the network for Nxt, as you know there are about 10,000 accounts. Say each node is a Pi, say each pi consumes 10Watts, so total 100kW, it's 2400 kWh, which is just $600 a day with $0.25 per kWh. Say each node is a server with 500 Watts, that's 50 times of the above calculation, so it is about $30,000 a day. So I predict a total power consumption is in the range of $600 ~ $30,000 a day, and most probably below $10000. Wow, that's the most efficient system in the crypto currency world. Edit: go on a simple calculation of the price for Nxt. Presently a day's tx fee is ~ 5000 Nxt, if it should cover the power consumption, that is, $600/5000 ~ $30,000/5000, so the Nxt price in the range $0.12 ~ $6. Yeah, my pricing for Nxt is $0.12 ~ $6. But there are 300 nodes, not 10k: http://peerexplorer.com/donate(1), 22k(3), 22k.io(66), BEER(1), CentOS(2), FreeBSD(1), linux(6), NCC-1701-D(1), NCC-1864(1), nxt.now.im(12), nxt86(2), PC(121), PC BaiMang...(2), PC-2212(1), Raspberry(1), RaspNXT(1), Rpi(1), RPi Solari...(1), SPARC(1), strawberry(1), Unknown(43), VPS(17), xrp.pw/nxt(1):
(4+66+1+1+12+2+43+17+1)x20W = 3kW + (2+6+1+1+121+2+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)x5W = 0.7kW
= 4kW
24(hours)x4(kW)x0.15/kWh = 14 USD

Hey, what do you think about this... NXT – created by an unknown rebel, developed by free people! Do you like the world? Do you like the governments? The system? No? You are not alone! ... It's a bit harsh i think. Sounds like a fanatic ideology is coming. The idea of nxt is revolutionary and programmatic, not only an anarchist can benefit from.

Update on the NXT project: 1) Stable client: 0.5.4e is better, 15’ to start up with lot of memory and cpu usage, 0.javaexeption is back, generated incorrect block waiting for the next one. While loading getting stuck (think is jetty problem)lot of messages page wont react. Not dummie proof hopefully the client(s) will solves this 2) White paper: Jl777 taking the lead to write it together with the whole community those who want to contribute they can on the white paper page: http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt there is surtenly progress here just have to follow it up (don’t finalize it yet, to add most important TF section help from some DEV to write this part would be great) joefox is admin of the wiki pages. 3) Client software: this all depends on nexern to provide updates and milestones. Marcos03 has a working client in premature stage, looking good but still a lot to do, marco03 if you need help from the community let us know, looking forward to a new update 4) Media campaign, is ongoing, but we should wait to throw the bomb when above issues r solved I thought utopianfuture and or landomata takes the lead here ? 5) BCNext has not done yet to review all data from the rewards program so please be patient it will come. Still a lot to do but getting there, NXT will succeed! Thank you all, this is the most inspiring community I have ever seen, and also a part of the strength of NXT, keep up the good work and lets turn it up a notch. Please feel free to add concerns or questions to this resume Pin
