Why not use a Linux vm on your home computer?
Current version catches errors and restarts client. I need couple of days of nonstop working. Impossible @ home PC.

Got tired of having to open a shell everytime I downloaded a new NRS version in order to check the SHA256 hash in Ubuntu, so I wrote a very simple script: #!/bin/bash # Calculate_SHA256 # Nautilus script to show SHA256 of a file. # Copyright 2014 The Free Software Foundation. # Copying and distribution of this file, with or without # modification, are permitted in any medium without royalty # provided the copyright notice and this notice are preserved. # This file is offered as-is, without any warranty. # # Place this file in ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts # and make sure its execute bit is set (chmod +x). file="$1" filename="${file##*/}" sha=$( sha256sum "$file" | cut -d \ -f 1 ) zenity --info --title "\"$filename\" SHA256:" --text "$sha"
Once installed, a new menu item that will allow you to check a file's SHA256 hash will appear in Nautilus under "scripts" when you right-click on a file: Select the script Calculate_SHA256 to see the hash: Hope others find it useful.

I've started a section on the wiki for organizing our projects. In particular, check out the List of Proposals and Bounties page. I'm thinking we could link to stuff that is "active" there. That could be links to forum threads, google docs, or other wiki pages where projects are being discussed and hashed out, and project statuses are being updated. For a good example of this, check out the wiki page for the new address format using Reed-Solomon encoding that NxtChg started a long time ago. Very clearly organized. My thinking is to use the Discussion pages for throwing around ideas, criticisms, suggestions, etc, and use the main pages for summary of the proposal/project status. Not enough folks are using Discussion pages . Click on this tab more often: James, this could be the right place for you to put up your (many, many!) ideas for comment. EvilDave, you could put your carbon offset proposal here too. Lots more projects that I don't remember (this is why we need to put all of them in a convenient place). Pin, maybe it could be easier if you got everyone to post their projects on the wiki instead? Then you can just go through a list of links. Don't worry about messing things up, it's a wiki, everything can be reversed. And don't worry if you don't know wiki formatting, just type/copy and paste. Other people can help you clean things up. If there's demand, I'll put up a quick guide to simple wiki editing. I'll be technical support. Anyone has a problem, e.g. getting errors, can't figure out how to do something, ask me and I'll troubleshoot. +1000 At least, put all your ideas and projects into this wiki. We need this! Nxt needs this!

+1. This is nice. I wonder who will do the first IPO in Nxt AE. Next Mobile? It seems a voting system becomes urgent after the launch of AE since it is the best way for shareholders to make crucial decisions after the companies are formed in Nxt. I agree also

Raspi problems - my raspi seems to have issues with available memory and what nxt0.7.1 consumes - wouldn't it be possible to keep Raspis available as Platform for nxt?
Minimalistic performance requirements are an extremely powerful marketing argument!
honestly, I think it is really desirable to fix this:

It is possible in the future that RPis will work again (parallel chains, snapshots, ...)

Anyway, why are hallmarks encoded to an ip address? A big problem for dynamic ips. Why not a private/public key pair with public key signed by an account?
- hallmark designed to distinguish zombie node from the health one. So IP must be involved in hallmarking (= digital signature of the IP address).

Which clients are also forging when used? is NRS the only one, and when its gone how will forging go?
No API call for opening an account for forging. CfB previsouly said, let's wait till April. This sounds like accounts will not need to be open in the future to forge? Is this an accurate assumption? can some one elaborate on this?
