Will the ratings effect how much you get paid?

Thank you Edit: I am still confused... Do you paste that code TO vote, or does pasting that code add a little vote box or something?

Its voluntary, I actually have not even tested it yet. You add the code if you want the article rated. This is not a automated script to help with payouts and such at all, just for if you have something you are unsure of or like with the devcoin.org we can have a group effort, place voting script on each paragraph so we can agree/disagree on final format.

Thanks, not sure I've done it properly but added some thumbs/up down to the devtome page paragraphs: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_orgSo all - please take a look and edit/suggest/rate as you wish (the orginal page is jasinlee's text, the current revision is my edit, so feel free to re-edit any version)

Thanks, that what I wasn't sure about, but didn't want to end up voting on my own edit. I'll change it, actually think it's already been done. Also, if anyone wants to get detailed and knows how to add in any of the formatting elements of jasin's page, as well as quicker way of adding pics than having to upload to photucket or similar please do.

I have some kind of weird supposedly git thing,
diff --git a/contrib/Bitcoin.app/Contents/Resources/BitcoinAppIcon.icns b/contrib/Bitcoin.app/Contents/Resources/BitcoinAppIcon.icns
that supposedly is somehow to update the github source code for old-devcoin-qt
If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, it has nothing to do with old-devcoin-qt, but rather old-devcoin

I didn't think anyone could even compile the wxwidgets version anymore. Is that what your new release for windows is based on, the wxwidgets GUI? Actually I don't see corresponding directories in the old-devcoind-git either. -MarkM-

I just added (I think) an image of my coin design for the devcoin contest.
The image on the front of the coin I will replace because I didn't know it belongs to someone (halo) but the backdrop will remain only I will probably find a "golder" IC (integrated chip) so the coin will have a more golden look which I think looks nicer and also gives a move valuable subconscious look and feel.
My intention was to have something different from anything else out there. I hate seeing each coin copy each other and the dollar.
I also wanted everything about the coin to have a meaning, not just something thrown around.
a) The backdrop is an IC in the wafer form and some are more golden than others. It stands for a digital age, digital money and most people will recognize this immediately and automatically associate this chip with a digital chip unlike every other digital coin I've ever seen.
b) The forefront is an entire city (microcity) which symbolizes the meshing together of society and digital money and a new era for both, money and the way it's used and people and society and how they will both become merged, and it is my belief that money and man will eventually, perhaps in just a matter of years, merge physically via a chip, so then this coin will actually predict the future in an artistic manner.
c) The emblem on the front I'll remove and replace it with one I'm working on which will artistically include the letters d, V and C although not just simply written DVC.
d) The 7 crowns of the heptagram also have meaning - they stand for all the kingdoms of all 7 continents. The 7 colors of the 7 crows include the entire rainbow - something recognized and often revered in most if not all societies, and I really liked the fact that the entire rainbow (roy-g-biv) fit inside the design of this coin, inside its 7 crowns which also symbolizes all of the colors and races on all 7 continents - so then, at a glance a person seeing this coin should get a feeling that this coin is also personalized and it includes and represents, to some degree, him and his nation. On a side note, gay people have hijacked the rainbow and all its splendor - well, great for them but this rainbow has a bigger and deeper meaning than that and I never did let other people's actions stop me from believing and doing what I believe, but on the bright side, this coin also then, by coin-incidence (lol) represents all the various walks of mankind, including the millions of gay people around the world and when these millions of gay people look at investing in a digital coin I'm sure that rainbow is gonna pop out and give them a feeling of open mindedness and understanding, well, unless they read this text first. lol
e) The Final thing will be some latin inscriptions to give it more meaning and an identity, a global identity as latin is the global language of law, science, and medicine.
Devcoin is a company, an idea for the masses created, propagated and being made success by the masses and this design was made by me to symbolize that and a good design is one which tells a story at a glance and stands for what you stand for and what you're trying to sell. Well, this then, is a digital crypto-coin, created for the coming crypto [currency] revolution, which in time prove to be one of the most revolutionary products ever invented my man which will lead to a massive sea of change across all industries, government and countries and will people into a new era, the true digital era.
All criticisms and advice are welcome, this is the main reason I put it up early before even submitting it. Thanks in advance.
regards,
Vlad

Great, the image on my profile is not showing. What's the deal, I cropped it down to 720kb, that's really small for an image with details.
Any advice, please, I don't think I can just upload it on here in a post. My level isn't high enough I don't think.

Can somebody with a higher level who can post images on this site shoot me an email address so I can send you this devcoin design and then you can post it on here? This is for the betterment of devcoin, even if I don't win, my design may spark a better design idea in somebody's else's mind so either way I look at it it's good for devcoin.
I don't care as much as winning the 4 shares as I do about having devcoin have the best and meaningful coin image out there.
At this point and for time to come the biggest thing that will make someone pic this coin over another when it comes to buying is the name and image of the coin since there's not much else to go on like a business plan one evaluates when buying stock. I think that's the reason namecoin shot up 1,000 fold right after bitcoin, people were looking for another cheaper coin and for some reason they all chose the same one and I think it was because the name itself, namecoin is personalized and people associated with it so it paid off for namecoin cause it's now a $1 coin instead of a $.001 coin.
So the image of the coin devcoin chooses is much more important than many realize so let's work together on getting the best coin design improved and chosen. I'm willing to put my coin up before it's done risking someone copying various aspects or one-upping me but that's fine if it means devcoin will, in the end, have a better coin which will then greatly benefit all of us.
