You can check your download from the place you mentioned with a hashcheck-tool like http://code.kliu.org/hashcheck and compare. If you get the same hashes as results, then it should be the same original Mooncoin-wallet.

I withdrew most of my stash from Cryptsy when I found out it doesn't have the money transmitter licenses it said it had that made it fully licensed. I won't risk trading there because there are threads complaining about withdrawal issues in the service discussion board. I trade my earthcoins on BTC38 because it's safer.

Mooncoin works for withdrawals on Cryptsy.

As for a MOON exchange, www.bleutrade.com is a nice option. The only problem there is the missing volume. So if you'd like to help Mooncoin, maybe buy some MOON there and possibly make Bleutrade the new place to go for Moonies to trade their coins.
I also recommend to vote for Mooncoin on the other exchanges. Maybe drop them a line by email or use the voting-system, if they provide one.

This would definitely increase demand on Mooncoin. Another exchange would be an excellent idea. I feel too sorry for myself for selling over 30 million MOON that I had been holding. I should have kept some for the future just in case. Anyways, I could buy some more again since the price is dirt cheap.

30 million MOON seems like a small amount to be sorry or worried about. 

It is worth something like 2.1 LTC at the current market rate, which is less than $7.50 USD.  So you could easily rectify that and make yourself happier, without the fear of going broke.
