Ive been mining both forks at Hash_To_Coins, but the links for a wallet download at the BTER site point to the offline website.
Does anyone know where to find the wallet download?

exactly, I am running https://oldtips.poolto.be  (very old Fedoracoin pool, up since end 2013) and i have same behavior.
Daemon crash while it find block 1664000.
Didn't find a way to fix it.

and it crash.

The wallet tries to count the existing supply to calculate next reward and crashes with that which was expectable and I warned a few times that this will happen.
The call to GetChainValue is the culprit here:

A new checkpoint could help to move a few thousand blocks before the same problem occures. IIRC you could add one or two checkpoints something like 10-50 blocks before current block and it should start going again for some time. Difficult task will be to calculate the supply at this block you checkpoint.


TBH the new TIPS also fails, but it fails more gracefully when calculating the supply and will just stick with 50k block reward for eternity.

Probably no, BTER is silent.

The fedora coin forked into two chains.The BTER chain and the regular chain.The Bter chain crashes at block 1664000.The old Pool to be site hasn't updated their stuff yet.The Bter people were contacted about fixing it but had refused.That's why there are 2 chains now.Who knows if they are going to fix it.Only time will tell I suppose.

I don't know another tip?Eh, there's CorgieCoin2 its like tips but is also POS then there's Dogecoin. But I see what you're getting at.However, I would be more than interested in making a new coin with you.I can't code or build a wallet though but I'm awfully good at writing and community relations and well social engineering to a point.We just need a good idea something that no one has thought of before even if the coin is just a fork of another coin it needs a mission and needs someone to care about it or it will die.

Ive got the same problem. I found an old link regarding reindexing tips if you get hung up on an orphaned block and can't  sink. I haven't tried the fix yet but will later and will report back my results.Here is the link.
