LOL  - with the Dogecoin wallet I need like one night to sync the wallet for the last 10 days. I can't do that in the day because the wallet takes my whole CPU and HD power (e7500 2x4.00gh and 7200rpm 32mb hd) - and I really mean the whole load is on the wallet.  I can't do anything while the dogewallet sync.   With the smartcon wallet the cpu load is only 5% and it took me only 5 mins to sync the last 5 days. Ii didn't interrupt at all my other pc work. Btw with the dogecoin wallet my gpumining suffers very much - from about 1000kh to about 160kh from 2 cards at I 18 !!!.   With the smartcoin wallet the cgminer didn't notice anything at all.  No problems.   I hate the dogecoin wallet.    I stopped mining doges from the beginning of smartcoin.

Maybe in Dogecoin wallet you have enabled CPU mining. try in debug window console input

Same for me. stopped dogecoin and swiched to smartcoin. eventhough i only made 30 coins in 6 days with CPU mining i belive in its huge chances...

all those who want to get rid of smartcoin cause they don't believe in its future, i'd be happy to receive some if they don't dump it for low on the markets...
