We can't have lost the only decent supplier for Hardware :/ but tbh if they can make more money mining and still sell hardware later on I'm pretty sure they will do this, plus with the new chips coming out they can roll in the BTC and sell it at a rate they can afford to sell less now than wait till it goes back up again

Yeah.. Insane. They can start de-racking them for all I care. Wouldn't mind one that's been running for a month...
At 1.45 BTC it doesn't make sense to risk so much - the price could easily drop again or the difficulty jump so much they should've taken the 1.45 when they had the chance.

Ive been able to pull the trigger on every pricing point so far it seems (4.75,4.25,3.25,2.2,1.9) but this one totally slipped by with no fanfare, only page errors and no price change.

That's annoying. It would be better to produce for several days so that all customers have the chance to get one and not only those few having luck to refresh the site in the right second.
