adversarial claims trying to undermine an asset that I have invested in You're attributing motive that doesn't necessarily follow, but its okay for you to have that opinion. Nevertheless it is interesting that you reveal your own highly conflicted status. So with all of your comments about "conflict" the pot has been calling the kettle black all along. We fundamentally disagree about whether "fanboy" comments are more on topic than critical ones just because it happens to be the DRK thread. And if they are not, then one form of "conflict" on the part of the speaker is certainly not morally or ethically superior to another. If that's the kind of discussion you want, take it to a private form or a moderated thread. Otherwise, you going to get all views (whether or not from me) on the thread, not just the positive ones. Anyway I see no purpose to engage a self-described "fanboy" as that is not a style of communication or a level or honest critical thinking for which I have any respect.

Though I find it a bit disappointing that someone with such obvious grasp of wisdom still feels compelled to describe people who present an opposing view as trolls.
Jeez - you sound like some kind of sleazy bank manager that's been caught with his hand in the cash drawer appealing to the jailer for clemency. Ironic that your here banding around "scam" claims. How to deal with competition: Try to defame the developer and patronise the community - nice technique !

We fundamentally disagree about whether "fanboy" comments are more on topic than critical ones
Calling the developer a "fraud" and aggressively promoting that view cannot remotely be characterised as a 'critical comment'. It is a direct personal accusation and one that people are wholly justified in condemning you for.

How about starting a victim support thread and locking it so you can bump it several times a day but not open it up to comment? I know I was a few days off but I did say that the IRC chatter was indicating a prolonged and organised smear campaign against DRK/DASH!

People are just silly. If he would have pulled of this great 'conspiracy', how come he had to buy coins? https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=421615.msg5007248#msg5007248If darkcoin isn't fair, then what about bitcoin? Bitcoin was stealth mined for years. And what if whole bitcoin community knew about darkcoin and everyone mined it? Then people would still come a year later and say "this is ninjamined, only a small community mined this shit". It's all relative - and the distribution will always benefit the early adopters. Im not saying that we should allow and encourage unfair distribution, Im just trying to imply that we have yet to invent a fair distribution model, because its just childish to say that any other coin is better distributed than darkcoin.

do you have same statistical data for bitcoin?
The average block time for bitcoin during the first year was something like 14 minutes (target=10), meaning not only wasn't it instamined, it was tardymined. The difficulty was stuck at the minimum for a long time. This wasn't necessarily because people didn't mine (Greg Maxwell reported that he and many other people did mine in the first few months), just that the miner was really slow, and people didn't really go out of their way to mine (the wallet just mined when the program was open). Also, many people who mined bitcoin in the first year didn't even save their wallets, or didn't save all of them. It was just a curious cryptographic toy at the time, with no monetary value at all. Wallets were more like temp files. I'm sure there are charts of this somewhere, but overall the whole thing was just totally incomparable to anything going on now.

so you say this is wrong "Satoshi certainly has a lot of funds. Bitcoin security consultant Sergio Lerner's oft-cited analysis puts the figure at around 1m BTC, based on the early mining that he or she did." http://www.coindesk.com/dangerous-satoshi-nakamoto/

I could spend all day going over how fantastic a job Monero is doing, but, you know, real life happens rather than spending time trying to throw mud. I'll leave the last word to the Monero developers: ----
That said, it's simply not acceptable for us (to echo your words) to put lipstick on a pig and ship a GUI that is pleasant enough, but takes 4 days to sync from scratch, requires 6+gb of RAM, sucks a ton of bandwidth, and is accepted nearly nowhere.
We will deliver a proverbial work of art, but it requires building out parts of the foundation that we had previously viewed as less of a priority (until the 202612 attack). Oh, and we're doing it on like no money, so there's that.
Finally, a sensible comment and a dose of reality. +101 The last time Monero shills got out of hand and started a mud slinging match, they ended up being attacked on a number of different levels. I don't advocate anything like that, but you'd think they would have learnt from the experience. But then again, desperation has a funny way of clouding people's judgement. Just a quick catch-up while having lunch. I see the Monero devs are under so much strain lately, you know busy posting fud everywhere instead of focusing on the job at hand - see above some of the issues that need to be worked on which aren't because of trolling DRK.
